  1. This pretty much rules out Ed Sheeran unless he's playing Norway-Belgium back to back. Reckon he's the Boutique headliner.
  2. Only one name tomorrow morning, so timing is purely coincidental.
  3. I think they're going for their usual announcement style: dropping each headliner (and other big names) one by one over the span of a few weeks. PJ usually only releases tour dates early December, which means Werchter cannot start announcing names too early if they don't want to leave a gap. My guess: first headliner next Friday, which leaves 3 weeks until the start of December. Topping off with PJ somewhere in the week of the 4th. Tickets on sale Saturday 9th of December.
  4. Jimmy did say already that his posts are a mix of things he heard from reliable sources + estimated guesses. He's given enough info to be considered credible, but you shouldn't take everything he says as 100% fact.
  5. "Easily" is not quite the right word to use. It's been 11 years since he last played a regular festival, this will be his 4th consecutive European tour without any festival dates in it. Also, his recent health issues are forcing him to take 3-4 days of rest in between 2 locations. Which made booking this tour a complex puzzle, made evident by the fact that standalone Werchter events usually take place on a weekend/holiday and not a regular Tuesday.
  6. They confirmed it was an error, not a leak. Given the rumours about an announcement tomorrow, they already prepared a draft with interchangeable dates and locations. Which they accidentally posted.
  7. I think you might be overestimating Pulp there. Doubt that the Barn would be packed, regardless of the headliner they're clashing with. They also seem like an act that would prefer headlining Lokerse Feesten or Live Is Live over playing the Barn.
  8. I think they're just going to take a week of rest after that 2 month run of US dates.
  9. I don't think it was an intentional decision by RW. The organizer of Live Is Live is also the Belgian head of FKP Scorpio (who are doing The National's bookings) and supposedly has a great relationship with the band/management.
  10. Stromae is rather assumed to not show up. The most recent reports still mentioned him struggling with his mental health (barely appearing in public, for instance). Don't think he's already planning mass shows in 9 months.
  11. Are they really ready though? There's a difference between a guest performance with Run The Jewels and intense 1,5h shows every 2 nights for months on end. And let's not forget their bass player has been dealing with cancer as well.
  12. A lot of those blank dates are just placeholders for extra shows in the same locations though. An insider already confirmed that a second Belgian show is ready to be announced once the first sells out. And their current production doesn't fit on festival stages, so they'd have to create a new show for a handful of festivals. Ed Sheeran has been announced as headliner at Hurricane/Southside and Stavernfestival, both in June.
  13. Insiders on Festileaks are hinting at a standalone show in Belgium, so you can cross them off that list.
  14. Just to clarify: this is less about insider knowledge and more an estimated guess, based on the wishlist closing October 11. But yeah. Foo's are teasing, The National's European tour is ending October 7, Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith have dropped some first festival dates, rumours about a new Green Day album are intensifying, ... Everything is lining up for one or several headliner announcements in October!
  15. You can't really compare these though. Kendrick Lamar played Sportpaleis last year and didn't manage to sell all tickets. 5 months earlier, Dua Lipa played 2 easily sold out Sportpaleis shows. I think she's big enough to pull off a standalone Boutique/stadium show if she releases another hit single. Stormzy is not even worth comparing. He clearly was an emergency headliner due to other acts not coming through. In a regular situation, he would've been a Barn headliner at best.
