  1. Glitter ban?

Yes they do, it'd becoming a big part of 'festival fashion' which I don't really have an issue with BUT it is damaging to the environment if you use 'normal' glitter so I do care about that. There's biodegradable stuff available which is as sparkly and harmless.
  2. Glitter ban?

Biodegradable glitter is a thing. Worth paying a couple of quid so(more) microplastics don't end up in the ecosystems.
  3. 2017 New Music Thread

It's what we've all been waiting for:
  4. Boomtown 2018

2017 is the only one year I've been and all of your comments seem spot on for this year too. It looked pretty central to us, and looked like decent drainage (high up and a slight slope) which is why we chose it. EDIT: Looks like we could be getting some Chapter 10 info soon from the Boomtown facebook:
  5. Radiohead Headlining 2017

Is it known that Ed has a solo album on the way? http://www.esquire.com/entertainment/music/a13529349/radiohead-ed-obrien-interview/
  6. Tour Announcements & Upcoming Gigs

I read a book on anti gravity once, couldn't put it down
  7. If in doubt use impact. Job done. Re:the survey might be useful to be able to select more than one mode of transport. I ended up going for the one I use more often
  8. Boomtown 2018

FYI we camped near there last year and were really please that we did. It's a bit of a trek to downtown but pretty central. (We lucked out as it was all of our first years). You could probably do a lot worse than camping there (Wild West camping I believe) if you're going to spend a bit of time in the Rave Yard.

  10. Boomtown 2018

Bad Apple is a good landmark to get familiar with early on too. Centralish, normally something going on in the corner and decent drinks.
  11. No more V festival

It seems plausible but would go against axing some of their Sky Arts channels that used to show loads of festival coverage. The stoop from Branson fest to Murdock fest assures beyond any doubt that I would never attend.
  12. Boomtown 2018

I hope I will have made it in with plenty of time so I can join in this year!
  13. Download 2018

Ozzy Osbourne announced as the first headliner. I wonder which of the other 2 of their constant rotation of 8 headlining acts it will be?
  14. Boomtown 2018

It's glorious madness. If that sounds like your cup of tea then you're in for a treat.
  15. Download 2018

    My bad

  17. Boomtown 2018

Does anywhere else come close to doing what they do? I suppose a small part of Glastonbury does, and from my experience small parts of Bestival do but not to the same scale/extravagance. It's like they've found their niche. So excited even though I'm the only one i know with a ticket. Loads of my mates are planning on getting tickets later so hopefully some of those will turn up. If not, so be it.
  18. Boomtown 2018

Did you get a ticket sorted Ben?
  19. Boomtown 2018

12,000 tickets in 5 mins apparently
  20. All Points East Festival 2018

I didn't know that, and to some extent is logical. Every day is a school day.
  21. Tour Announcements & Upcoming Gigs

Flight of the Concords have added dates, I can't find a full list but includes 3 nights at Portsmouth Guildhall. EDIT: York Barbican, Milton Keynes Theatre and Dublin 3Arena and an extra date at the O2
  22. All Points East Festival 2018

I'd love to see a break down/justification of ticket handling fees. I understand that businesses need to make money but don't understand why it isn't built into the ticket price. It's up there with Estate Agent fees for me - just whacking on unexplained costs to a captive market.
  23. Boomtown 2018

I'm sure there will be I'd help out if I could but I've plans for this evening. I'm sure that everything will be fine though.
  24. Boomtown 2018

After this years festival they asked for feedback - I assumed it was an email to everyone who bought tickets. I sent a rather balanced message explaining what I thought were the Pro's and Con's of my first Boomtown and they sent an automated response saying that they will respond manually to all of the feedback submitted. I mentioned the issues but didn't go into too much detail because I'm sure that thousands of other people did. I think they later realised that this was was going to take a lot longer than they first thought so sent out an email every couple of weeks saying that they were still working on it. Finally, about a month ago they offered the chance to have access to tickets a day early if they could consider the feedback responded to and closed. I guess this was mainly to negate negative feedback but I wasn't going to look that gift horse in the mouth.
  25. Tour Announcements & Upcoming Gigs

How long do we think tickets will last for this? I don't want to miss out on the Fri but I'm not sure if I can justify the bucks this month.
