  1. I think you're well off the mark here. Katy Perry played the right slot for her, she absolutely wasn't a headliner. She was a big draw but she was not a headliner. Florence apparently only wanted a Friday slot and Foo Fighters were booked in. Lizzo has already been explained. You could maybe look at something like Miley Cyrus' placing below Vampire Weekend and make a point that she's obviously the bigger act, but there again was the spot right after Kylie really a smaller slot than right before The Cure? The Legend slot being the bigger of the day throws it in the air a bit, and also if she'd taken the VW slot she'd have clashed with Billie Eilish which a lot of people wouldn't have liked.
  2. Weird how the festival always seems to look way more filthy than it really is in pics
  3. God imagine being Emily Eavis, you've spent the last 20 years doing such an amazing job of keeping Glastonbury up to date and totally refreshing its entire vibe and making it bigger than ever, and then you get goddamn Rihanna booked for next year. Then she gets preggers and drops out and everyone yells at you and calls you sexist for it.
  4. It's PYRAMORE on the PARAMID, give the people what they want
  5. Scuse me but how come none of you are mentioning PARAMORE? Feels like their time
  6. I didn't mean literally every single person I meant literally every single person except Derby Dave
  7. Don't think they'll ever go with a ballot, just because they've no reason to. SeeTickets' job here is to get all the tickets sold in as quick a time as poss with little drama as poss. Building an entirely new ballot system gains them nothing at all. They've got a pretty great system in place already, we'll just see iterations and kinks worked out. 24 payment window is probably a lot easier to administer because alleviates the immense pressure off your payment system. They've built and proven the tech so they'll use it.
  8. There was a time on here when everyone would insist that Elton was too small to headline and was strictly Legends fodder, and the reason why he'd not played was because the stroppy diva was demanding the the big gig well above his station.

    Guns n Roses

Has this weird feeling of excitement, even the best of the best could f**k it up completely, and anyone could end up blowing the minds of everyone there. Kinda feels like the atmosphere before England (soz) world cup football games.
  10. No not poutine, chips cheese and gravy
  11. I enjoy the thought of Taylor Swift hanging out in Cardiff doing normal stuff, there's just something nice about it isn't there?
  12. Do you reckon Taylor Swift has ever had chips cheese and gravy
  13. I'm certain that SOPHIE will rise up from the grave and headline next year and nothing will convince me otherwise. Anyone want to bang their head against a brick wall trying to talk me out of it for the next 20 or 30 pages?
  14. He showed them piano keys a good time as well
  15. Same as everyone else, not the best ever but it was really really good. The collosal scale and vibe of that crowd really impressed me, and once he found his feet and did the hits he really had the whole place eating out the palm of his hand. I just wanted to give him a big hug, he's so cute. Like a nana.
  16. Can't wait to be going b-a-n-a-n-a-s down the front of the Pyramid with the lads for Gwen Stefani's headline show next year.
  17. Honestly if she plays there'll be Swifties smashing down the superfence in a tank

    Guns n Roses

Wanted to enjoy it, rocked up there ready to go nuts. Just couldn't. Happy for anybody who enjoyed it in the pit but they just didn't play to the cheap seats, and that's a big part of the game. Shockingly low pizzazz considering it's goddamn Guns N Roses at Glastonbury, come on lads. Sack whoever kept filling the screens with Guitar Hero Wii graphics. Get some better lights, some pyro. Axl get some banter. Going from Rina Sawayama turning in an honest to god Pyramid headline worthy set on Woodies with a fraction of their budget to this was stark.
  19. She would never do The Last Time at Glastonbury, it would be such a bizarre setlist choice. Sheeran tho... You know what I don't necessarily hate it, when we first caught glimpse of the twinkling lights of Glastonbury, excitedly rolling up on the Tuesday night for our first year in 2013, Everything Has Changed was playing on the radio. For me that song is so linked to the memory, I would love to see them play it. But if Sheeran walks out and Future does as well... Ah f**k no. Please. Lord deliver us. Send a lightning bolt, a floor, a meteor, anything.
  20. Taylor Swift is my all time favourite artist. I love her music, it means a huge amount to me. Her fanbase is such a f**king nightmare that I find the idea of going to one of her shows actually hellish. I did look out at the Elton crowd and imagined the utter carnage if the same was happening with Swifties.
  21. I wanna see Jack Antonoff go ham and gentle uncle Aaron go mild on the Pyramid
  22. Always the chance that she overdid it in Block 9 on Saturday and Elton had to bring TikTok Timmy on board last min Same thing with Britney Spears and Jackie Waxwork from The Killers
  23. This gets played or we riot
  24. What about Elton not mentioning Doola Peep on stage by name? Or not having her as a guest when she seems an obvious shout? Reckon there's beef or is she keeping her powder dry?
  25. Rina doing the Break Stuff interpolation in STFU was killer
