All of our group that wanted to go by Coach got tickets, no-one got off the holding page on Sunday. So we need 4 tickets in resale. A pool of 10 people spread over 7 households (mainly VirginMedia BB) and probably 25 devices for a 60% success rate. Four of us work in IT so apart from using backdoors our setups were probably as good as you could get 100M, 500Mb & 1G VM - nothing, BT 1G - Nothing, Laptop tethered to 5G phone - bingo!

On the plus point - no matter how people got tickets, one thing the Festival has got right is having your picture and name printed on the ticket as it kills the resale market. Imagine what price tickets would be going for on resale sites.....

Pity none of our team managed to get past the holding page for the second time - We scored 5 x Coach tickets for those of us who could travel that way - but the three that needed General tickets (One being a teacher who can only get there from Friday onward) are still ticket less - hopefully April resale will be kinder. The macro takes all the panic of mistyping and speeds up the input so much it's worth the effort of setting it up...

Yes - see block some VPN's - fortunately the one they use where I work is OK so I'll be using that on Sunday as an extra route in.

Yes - delete all seetickets cookies and data just to be sure no nasties left over from Thursday's sale. I just setup a macro for each reg no & postcode as I couldn't work out how to get it to tab between fields. still significantly quicker than trying to cut-n-paste from notepad or sheets.

Because it's got a wide neck - the wider the better but other brands are available, just remember to rinse it out well before use as it stings... If the choice is a Lenor bottle or going out in the rain in the middle of the night when you're wasted, to paddle around in the long drops - I know what I'd do..

If you contact customer services you might be able to convert it to a return ticket - There's always loads of empty seats on the coaches I've been on Monday morning. Having said that I've never had my ticket checked when leaving on the Monday anyway so if you know the departure times you might be able to blag it...

No - it's a plug-in. you setup a macro you trigger by a hotkey - in my case "#1" So when I got to the booking page I clicked in the first box and entered #1 - the macro then ran and filled in my reg no, tab, postcode, tab, next reg no, tab, postcode, tab, etc until all the boxes were filled in I checked and clicked purchase.

Team of five people trying from 4 different locations - think we had 10 devices between us. Winning machine was a Chromebook tethered to a 5G phone, manually refreshing at about 2-5 second intervals, with auto form filling extension to fill in booking page. Had the dreaded white screen at 18:00, pressed F5 randomly until it cleared - tickets in the bag at 18:04.

"Magical Autofill" is dead handy - you pre-program it with you nos & postcodes then if you get to the booking page - press a key and it'll fill in all the boxes for you, click purchase and you're away - no typing them in or cut-n-paste bollocks, less than 2 seconds from seeing the booking page to being on the payments one. I manually did the payment card stuff - just to be safe/sure. .

In 2016 you couldn't escape - the mud stuck you there for the entire set..... 2016 broke my missus - she's not been since (maybe this year if I can get her a ticket on Sunday).

Even trying to get tickets for friends & colleagues can get the heart-rate going and the hands shaking. They didn't even help to get our tickets, but I said I'd give it a try for them on Sunday.

So long none of them are U2 I'll be happy.... Was majorly disappointed with their set on pointy, and who thought Morrissey was a good sub for them wants a good kicking. Highlight of that night was Biffy - and I'm not normally a fan of theirs.... I'd 100% be up for a bit of Steve Nicks or Coldplay (so long as they can stop "He who should not be named" popping up all over the festival as a guest singer. And Please a decent DJ Headlining the Other - Skrillex, Marshmello, Chems, I'd kill for Pendulum or Knife Party on a decent sized stage.

Finally - the payment has gone from "Pending" to "Paid" - I suspect most other people's will have done so too So the pressure is off for me on Sunday - just 6 x tickets to get for friends who failed getting Wed Coaches. So out with the 3 PC setup - 5G tethered Chromebook (Thursday's winner), Windows 10 Laptop VPN'd into work, and finally Windows 11 PC on 1Gig Virginmedia - for other people's benefit....

I wish the payment would change from "Pending" - only then will I relax. None of the group apart from me has got an email. I'm sure in previous years you got a "Someone has purchased" email if you weren't the lead booker or will they get that once See have the cash?

Comfy socks - at least a couple more pairs than days you're there. Hiking boots & gaiters (if its not a dry one). Decent Tent (Get a "Fresh and Black" if you need a new one) , inflatable mattress, sleeping bag, spirits in plastic bottles, bin bags (for rubbish, emergency waterproof covering, seats etc), toothbrush & toothpaste, empty lenor bottle (wide mouthed). spare clothes, sweatshirt/hoodie (as it gets cold at 3AM), earplugs, lightweight waterproof coat, suncream, blister plasters, paracetamols, deodorant. That's all I took last time and was perfectly fine - 100L rucksack, pop-up tent and an Aldi bag of spirits & diet coke on the coach..

I now keep checking my banking app - waiting for the "Pending" payment to leave the account - then I'll actually believe I've got tickets....

God - if he hates the Glasto crowd - try R&L. I won't go anymore, you'd have to pay me. Leeds is slightly better than Reading but both are full of twats. I have noticed a change in atmosphere at Glasto post-pandemic, almost if people are trying too hard and partying too-hard to make up for lockdown and the economy being a bit sh*t, but it's not as bad as other large festivals I've been to.

100% it's the dreaded "Holding page of doom" - I'm pretty sure See either drop poisoned cookies or have dummy transactional servers they use to reduce the load on the actual servers - almost like a honey-pot. I've had this happen too many times for it not to be a coincidence. even quitting Chrome and relaunching it made no difference - only deleting cookies and browsing data brought up the "sold out page".

We had a few people trying from work and they had the "refreshing too fast" issue so I suspect you could have the same issue if 20+ people are all exiting via one external ip-address. Probably means you just have to hit F5 less often Having said that my 1Gig Virginmedia connection didn't get a sniff and was stuck at the holding page well after tickets had sold out, I got through on a laptop tethered to my 5G phone, so if you have a couple of devices it may be worth running one on 5G.
