  1. yeah same happened to me I had almost 7 minutes that the tickets were on hold but it kept hanging and the payment page just never appeared and then it booted me off. I tried back paging and it kept hanging. Eventually I got the event not found.
  2. there are still bath and west CV tickets available
  3. yeah you probably have a good chance of getting them refunded it's a slip up allowing more than one campervan ticket per registration. We bought ours in the first resale a few weeks ago, so I don't think we can do anything with ours and it will go unused. But it's a shame when there is still demand and there are tickets that will go unused.
  4. Snap ! I think I got ours in the first couple of seconds. We now have a B&W campervan ticket that we wont use, and I'm wondering what blutarsky's resale crew will do about their 6 surplus campervan tickets.
  5. Yes I agree the open air cinema had a kind of magic to it. The collective fun and joy, and the films were well chosen for a bit of crowd participation, the ones I remember being on the Thursday also had an air of excitement of the the days ahead. Yeah the cinema tent struggled to compare, but it's great that glasto has a go at trying all these things out. I can't wait to get back to worthy farm this year.
  6. Thursday night outside cinema. Back in the 90s that was just about the only official entertainment on the Thursday night. The most memorable one for me was Ghostbusters, the crowd were so chilled and happy singing along. It's still one of my happiest memories of my first few Glastonburys.
  7. That's a good substantial piece of kit ! My days of having a child in tow at Glastonbury are over but ours went from 9 months old to adult. Over those years we had a quite a succession of transport/resting wheeled kit. Some were better than others. The baby carrier was excellent, then came the Maclaren buggy, great when it wad dry not good in the mud, one or more wheels came off, then we bought a second hand three wheeler buggy more robust than the Maclaren but not as substantial as dondo's bike sidecar above. The three wheeler did ok but at one point the pin attaching the front wheel broke.... top tip .... I replaced it with a tent peg and whacked the unbent end at an angle to secure. Lastly and most disastrously as said child got older we got a fold up wheelbarrow thing. That was a very poor experience and I wouldnt recommend it. Nowadays you see a lot of parents with those little wagons that remind me of little house on the prairie, they seem very popular but I have no idea where you buy them. The biggest recommendation I have is not on transport but to definitely spend time in the Kidz field. It's quite a revelation, it's very chilled, the children's entertainment is of very high quality and totally fab from the all day children's caberet tent to the brilliant helta skelta to the excellent craft marquee ( face painting included) and the circus skills marquee, and so much more. All ages of kids are catered for...........and it's a marvellous way to get over the hangover from the night before. I'm getting all nostalgic about the kidz field now 🥰 One other recommendation is at the back of the greenpeace field there is another kids bit and further back again is the ancient oak tree, a nice shady spot to rest and there used to be a children's book tent there hopefully it will still be there this year. Worth a visit with children. It's a totally different festival with kids in tow some things you might miss but others are an unexpected bonus that you will love, I hope you have as brilliant a time as we did.
  8. I wish I'd gone to see Iggy Pop and the Stooges. I don't even know what I was seeing when they were on. What was I thinking 🤔 .... Big regret.
  9. OK thanks, I'll do the usual purge of glass items before we set off then.
  10. Does anyone know what the policy is on glass at Bath and West CV site ? Is it not allowed like the rest of the festival ? I'm not intending to bring glass into the festival, just wondering if i will need to purge the van of all glass items as i have done in the past. We tried for CV east in the resales but just got B&W CV ticket which is a first time for us. Thanks

    Club Covid

I've had it since sunday, its the first time I've had covid. It's felt like flu, but I think I'm over the worst now and I intent to do a test today. I'm triple vaccinated. Timing hasnt been ideal as I had to cancel a long awaited hospital appointmemt on Monday ☹ Looking on the bright side my antibodies shoild be raised for BT in 7 weeks and glasto in 11 weeks.
  12. I love this 😊 it sums it up beautifully. Ive done the last 21, I thought the amazing run of luck was over and i had been to my last glasto. But just got tickets in the resale last weekend, whoohoo 😁 97 and 98 were beasts not helped by us not opening the tent after 97 until we got there again in 98 and it was all mouldy and disintigrating 🤣. Had to get our act together after that as we had a little one in tow ( under one year old right up to teenager). I remember the rain forming a river going under our tent in family camping one year someone with a better memory will know what year that was i recall some tents in kidney mead being under water overnight the poor souls. In recent years we have been in a van which is a sheer luxury. I had reconciled myself to not going this year, getting tickets has reignited my enthusiasm massively and spindles' words are spot on.
  13. Well I might just have to get over myself and try it 😁 I like the spiced rum and lilt recommendation better though 😁😁
  14. We usually take 2 to 3 red wine pouches/boxes, G&T cans hip flasks of rum and ameretto, both nice for adding to late night coffee/hot choc. I just saw the Travelman episode in Basque the other night where they apparently have red wine mixed with coke !! then I noticed it listed on here ..... I had no idea it was a thing. It doesnt sound like a nice thing, but I'm intrigued !
