  1. 2018 New Music

I think she blew all her catchy and clever songs on her early EP's. It just sounds like Kate Nash at 33rpm at this point.
  2. 2019 festival

R+L is an 8/10? Skrrt. I dunno how to continue the analogy but bands have seemingly turned down headline slots before when they've felt they're not ready to nail the show yet. I guess that'd be the dealio here if Royal Blood have turned it down.
  3. Field Day 2018

Got an email from Field Day letting me know that they've added Moses Sumney to the Friday.
  4. Tour Announcements & Upcoming Gigs

  5. Crap bands and their crap songs

They're doing some of the biggest arenas in North America so if it's a push, it's one that's already been made. I think it'll be just the bare minimum of Glasgow, Manchester and London with potential to add extra London dates. That seems the done thing nowadays when wary about demand.
  6. Crap bands and their crap songs

"Shiny And Oh So Bright" Tour - Billy Corgan, James Iha, Jeff Schroeder, and Jimmy Chamberlin celebrating songs from their first 5 albums from Gish to Machina. You have to buy tickets now mate. Whatever the price. Honestly it seems insane that they've announced their biggest tour in twenty years with their 2015 lineup + James Iha.
  7. 2018 New Music

I know you don't wanna look like an old square in front of the world but it's okay to let a Migos album pass by unlistened.
  8. Lineup 2018

He'll be between 2nd and 4th down the main stage, I'd say. We heard Wolf Alice were headlining the NME months ago so unless that's changed, he must be on main. Bestival line up was released a couple of weeks ago. We don't know anything about V Festival as it's a completely new festival this year if it goes ahead, but it wants to get a hurry on.
  9. 2019 Headliners

You are consumed by hat envy.
  10. 2019 Headliners

    Newspapers?
  11. Variety Bazaar

    I don’t. A bad rumour is still a rumour isn’t it?
  12. Variety Bazaar

That’s an exciting rumour to kick us off. I don’t expect them to have a new album out in time and they’re not playing and then headlining the Pyramid on one album tour. Wrt the top quote, was the last time he said that 2014 when it turned out the headliners had all never headlined before? Though I expect that was a fluke that Michael’s quote actually turned out somewhat reasonable.
  13. 2019 Headliners

Grow up pal. I was just reading about this on the Metro site and they say the same but also that it won’t be returning to Somerset and would instead be in the Midlands.
  14. Tour Announcements & Upcoming Gigs

They got outstanding reviews for their last headline show in the UK. And the arbiters that evening weren’t people who’d just paid £30+ to see Royal Blood.
  15. Lineup 2018

It’s like when S Club 7 introduced S Club Juniors. I’m reserving judgement until they have more music out but it just seems like a lame off-season substitute for The 1975 and they’re being lapped up cos, well, The 1975 are massive.
  16. Lineup 2018

That’s a cool stat. Amazing how stale it looks when you think about them all being products of the 21st century.
  17. Lineup 2018

Travis Scott is still pretty realistic. Otherwise whoever is bigger out of Chvrches and Vaccines.
  18. Bilbao BBK Live 2018

They said, however, that it’d be the only place to see both The xx and Florence and the Machine this year. A baffling claim to make when not actually correct.
  19. 2018 New Music

Bigger gathering than I’ve seen at many other Park performances.
  20. 2018 New Music

Oh, I don't believe they did. But at shows they usually do Sober to Death and Famous Prophets, and that's like 15 mins of quality setlist real estate. Suppose they only played thirty odd mins that morning on the Park so it would have, quite clearly, confused the gathered masses. Danger Mouse? Fucking hell. Imagine Parquet Courts riding onto the singles charts.
  21. 2018 - What it might have looked like

I was there and I recall the heron reference and the European Union jokes (when everyone booed I wondered whether he knew we were booing the joke or the EU) but I have no clue whether you're having me on with Tim Spall flashing up on screen.
  22. 2019 Headliners

I can go with you knowing the inside scoop about festivals and shows for certain bands and whatever but announcing Little Mix are splitting up is next level shit.
  23. Kanye west confirmed

    tru
  24. 2018 New Music

I don't believe this. They play songs off it in like every show they've ever done. What the hell were you doing instead?
