  1. Album of the Year 2017

Local Natives was last year. Was in my top 3 of the year. Spending this month smashing through the hundreds of albums I've missed so that I can draw up a list by the end of the year. Listened to Humanz properly for the first time last night and fuck me that was bad. Bonus tracks were way better than the actual album tracks, mind.
  2. Download 2018

Lack of space on the lineup.
  3. Tour Announcements & Upcoming Gigs

Wolf Alice played here the other week. Wonderwhy I didn't go to that one tbf.
  4. Tour Announcements & Upcoming Gigs

Just checked after Odessa's post to see if they were playing here this time around but ofc they're fuckin not.
  5. All Points East Festival 2018

Think they're more likely for Latitude where ticket sales are less reliant on single headliners.
  6. Mad Cool 2018

Nick Cave and The National are almost definitely at Primavera. Jack White could be at Mad Cool, yeah.
  7. 2019 festival

Aha no worries. You'll get Foos in 2018 don't worry.
  8. 2019 festival

As said, that was before this year's festival and before Foo Fighters were clearly nailed on for this year. No one is predicting them now.
  9. 2019 festival

No one is predicting Foo Fighters.
  10. All Points East Festival 2018

Okay I've ran out of options who aren't Jack White.
  11. Mad Cool 2018

  12. Mad Cool 2018

Nah, at least one of the two is European.
  13. Lineup 2018

Don't know much about them but they don't seem like an R&L act? The 1975 and god knows who else.
  14. Mad Cool 2018

Someone said earlier in this thread that the Mad Cool CM ruled out Liam Gallagher. Anyone have a link to this? If not I wouldn't be surprised by Arctic Monkeys and Liam Gallagher as the top line, with Liam effectively being a glorified sub. He did Beni last year, wouldn't fit in at Primavera, and Noel is at BBK so I doubt Liam will be. Considering that you'd probably expect him to be at Mad Cool, though I guess he could be elsewhere on the lineup. Not sure how big a deal he is in Spain. Not really any reason to hold him back but I guess maybe they think it could look bad on the festival to announce him as a Friday headliner without announcing Arctic Monkeys, too, as not everyone will be aware there's another headliner to come? Can't see it being a dance act like The Prodigy as Massive Attack are surely the late night electronic act. Would they have a dance act co-headlining followed by another electronic late night act? Also The Prodigy headlined last year. Would suggest Jack White, too, but like others I think he'd be more likely for Primavera (but fuck me him and Arctic Monkeys would be a good way to finish off this lineup).
  15. 2019 festival

BMTH probably the easiest shout but we don't know who could be around yet. Any of those you mentioned could have a new album out by then so could easily be considered.
  16. 2019 festival

    Think you need something a little heavier in there. Been a long time since they had no one along those lines. 2017 - Muse 2016 - RHCP/Biffy 2015 - Metallica 2014 - QOTSA/Paramore/Blink 2013 - Green Day/Biffy 2012 - Foos 2011 - MCR/Muse 2010 - GnR/Muse 2009 was the last time they didn't have a remotely heavy headliner.
  17. 2019 festival

He had to put them there in case that guy who was crying over his treatment of The Hunna the other day turned up at his house and murdered him.
  18. Lineup 2018

Exactly what I think will happen tbh (with R&L 2020 rather than 2021).
  19. 2019 festival

Hmm maybe. Still don't see them at R&L but I guess it could be possible if there aren't many other options.
  20. Rock Werchter 2018

Only went in 2013 but the best I saw were Nick Cave, Blur, Editors and Sigur Rós (one for each day, funnily enough), with Nick Cave miles out in front. Saw some shit ones including Graveyard and A Day to Remember but they were just acts I saw to fill gaps/on the recommendation of others so wasn't too disappointed.
  21. Isle of Wight 2018 Festival

I thought Imagine Dragons were likely to pop up here as a sub. Not sure if Van Morrison is confirmed as a sub but if not I could easily see them slotting in below The Killers.
  22. 2019 festival

Even though demand for The Libs has obviously dropped off in the last two years I can't see them accepting that. Think they're more likely to just carry on hitting the smaller festivals like Kendal Calling than come back and play the second stage at a festival they headlined 4 years prior. Also wouldn't be surprised if they just disappeared again rather than doing that. Rest seems fair, though. I think Arctic Monkeys are more likely to do Glasto in 2019 but could go either way. Struggling to think what huge band they could get for 2019 so wouldn't be surprised if they have Drake or someone as the main attraction. Could also explain why they keep mentioning him on their social media if he's lined up for that or something. Probably a bit of a stretch but just a thought.
  23. TRNSMT Festival 2018

Arctic Monkeys do make a lot of sense. There are a few festivals around that time that have put tickets on sale without announcing a headliner for at least one of the days (TRNSMT, Rock Werchter, Mad Cool, NOS Alive, probably some more), so it seems like there's someone yet to announce their Summer plans who will slot into all of those. Also if the rumour about them doing Tramlines is correct they'll be up and running by then. Could see it being similar to 2013 where they headlined Glasto before AM was released and showcased a couple of new tracks from it, with the album released later in the year and another round of festivals in 2019.
  24. Latitude 2018

Huh? Guypjfreak who started a whole thread about her bringing up her child gender neutral? Wonderwhat you're on about pal.
  25. Latitude 2018

Not sure they'd book her for fear of losing Guy's business.
