  1. no joy for me - it teased me at the end by giving me Thursday options, all 1 available, but could not process
  2. got one PC on a holding page. A bit early, but you never know
  3. Hope everyone's dream comes true
  4. Poor planning on my part, but I am redecorating at the moment, so stuff is all over the place. I will just have to try as best I can tonight with a couple of devices.
  5. There is no way they are worried about selling out. The interest over the last 10 years has increased exponentially and it is now definitely a social media bucket list must do activity. There must be something seriously wrong with the registration database to cancel at this last minute.
  6. We will hopefully all be available for the new dates, but have not checked with the others in the group yet (I don't know if I have anything organised for me that weekend!). There may need to be some forum spirit in the next couple of weeks to assist those who can't make the new sale dates. I will try and help out if possible.
  7. Weather was lovely. Mud dried up nicely and ground was nice and soft. I would take this weekend every year (once you got past the initial set up). Makes such a difference to be able to sit on the grass and relax.
  8. I have got my eye on Twickets at the moment, as my daughters may come if the price is right. There will definitely be a lot of people left with tickets if they want full price unfortunately. Not sure when the resale cut off is though, I assume they will be on until at least mid next week.
  9. In my experience, the mobile reception is pretty poor at Larmer Tree Gardens. I am currently with O2, and it was not good at all. Does anyone have any better experience with other networks, or is it all poor?
  10. I decided to watch Gilbert O'Sullivan just before Elton John, and it started out with a couple of hundred, but as it got past 8:30, the numbers dwindled a lot. Whilst there was no noise to fight against, I did feel for him, as it was quite sparse in the Acoustic. Gilbert was very professional and put on an excellent show, and was very well received by all of us that stayed until the end.
  11. I don't understand why this happens year after year. It totally spoils the Park stage atmosphere and makes it hard to listen to a lot of acts. Surely that person responsible for the Park area is aware of this - as everyone else is.
  12. I managed to get to the Crows Nest to see a few things this year. It always amazes me that you can see great acts from a few feet away in such an intimate location. I saw the Mary Wallopers on Friday, after their Acoustic performance. It was jumping and there seemed to be a number of their mates in the audience having a friendly mosh. It was so fun. I then saw Mozart Estate play to only 30 or so. I missed their earlier show, so was delighted to see Lawrence performing. They put on a great performance, although I think he would have preferred it be be a little busier. Also got to see Beth Orton on Sunday afternoon. It was pretty packed in there, both in the audience and on stage, with the full band squeezed in. She played a couple of songs then took requests from the audience. She made my mates festival highlight (and one of his all time highlights) when she played his favourite song, which they had not played live for years.
  13. Crows Nest Top Three (in no particular order, as they were all brilliant) 1. The Mary Wallopers 2. Mozart Estate 3. Beth Orton
  14. I am not a member, but quite near me, so would have a go at that price.
  15. That's better, all of the required info on the revised email.
  16. Agreed, the email is pretty useless without the area where your tent is.
  17. I'm near Newbury and the rain for the last couple of hours was extreme. The gully around my house was completely flooded about a foot deep and a river of water running down the drive. However, the rain has stopped for a hour now, and all looks good. Water has soaked in, and no significant surface water left. I think we should be fine, and better to get it past this morning, rather than later when people are in the queues.
  18. Another 6 Music competition on tomorrow. 1 Pair up for grabs. Listeners will be invited to listen to 6 Music between 07:30 and 16:30 on 20th June 2023 to hear four live tracks recorded at the Glastonbury Festival in a designated year. Listeners will be asked to identify the year the archive live tracks were performed at Glastonbury. The listeners will be asked to text in their answer followed by their name after Steve Lamacq has played the final track at 16:25. The competition will open for entries Tuesday 20th June at 16:29 and close at 17:00. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/articles/1zDNZxMp4n93GNdmYRw5qmn/6-musics-glastonbury-festival-ticket-competition
  19. I've woke up this morning, and for the first time this year it really feels real. Had a long few weeks, and been avoiding the ups and downs of the weather forecast, but just this morning started to get that internal excitement building up, especially seeing all of the other posts about getting ready and seeing some of the others setting off already. A little bit of packing before going to work, but it's going to be a great week.
