It's come to a head. Looks like we'll be selling the house. No other way out really. I don't want to get another one of them jobs and anything less doesn't pay enough. Apologies, but I have too much shit going on right now to be able to communicate effectively.

We had the money because my wife sold her flat. After we'd paid off debts we had some money left over and decided to blow it. I guess it is the nature of addiction. That said, what would you have us spend it on - a new sofa from DFS? Apart from my house (which I own outright) I have lost nearly all interest in 'things'. Don't get me wrong I still love good design etc but realise that I don't need to own these things. You can't take your wealth with you when you go and if I manage someohow to end up in an old people's home, I'd like my memories to be of experiences and fun rather than of 'things'.
