  1. Thank you for the nod on that.
  2. Ah, it'll be soon enough, alright
  3. A gay club in Birmingham? https://nightingaleclub.co.uk/
  4. I feel a little like this, right now;
  5. Shropshire? https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-shropshire-67883475
  6. Nice. As for my own further input - I'm not sure about everyone's council, but my own seems to do grants for a whole host of things. One grant I was allowed came to £5K. That was a £5K saving to me on an overall cost of £7K. Worth looking into.
  7. You could try Citizens Advice, or (if you have the strength) look at these fact sheets from Age UK; AgeUK01: Staying safe (PDF, 5 MB) AgeUKIG06: Care homes (PDF, 3 MB) AgeUKIL5: Care home checklist (PDF, 321 KB) AgeUKIG08: Housing options (PDF, 2 MB) AgeUKIG60: Social housing (PDF, 1 MB) AgeUKIG61: Private renters (PDF, 1 MB) AgeUKIG62: Homelessness (PDF, 722 KB) AgeUKIG63: Homeowners (PDF, 1 MB) AgeUKIG13: Advice for carers (PDF, 3 MB) AgeUKIG17: Adapting your home (PDF, 4 MB) AgeUKIG23: Getting help at home (PDF, 3 MB)
  8. I think (but don't know for sure) I saw Primal Scream play the Other Stage (may have been called something else at the time) one year. It was both cosmic visually and audibly. Then again, I had taken mushrooms. While I was there, flying off me tits, my mate nudged me and said 'Have a look at the Grim reaper' behind us. I looked, and there indeed, was the f**king Grim Reaper. Only for real - some bloke had actually dressed up as the Grim Reaper, complete with scythe. What kind of an evil bastard dresses up as the Grim Reaper at Glastonbury - knowing that many people will get the 'Fear' when seeing him?
  9. I did think that such a t shirt would attract some attention.
  10. You are upside down to us! Well, not really, but you know what I mean. Anyway, you get about a bit. Where's next - the moon!? Hope you are having a fab time. And I think it's pure brilliance to have packed a Glasto t shirt. I also wonder if you'll get any comments on it?
  11. You are going to have a ball. Enjoy. 🙂
  12. Hello crazy, You should have put a laser on yourself, and then that photo would have been straight. 🙂
  13. Not sure if this would potentially affect you if driving through Wales, but some of their previous 30 mph roads have been dropped to 20 mph. I suspect this is mainly for residential areas, but could be worth looking at, if you were going down that route.
  14. After @paulshaneposted I did a very brief search on the net and the first article I found indicated that he was right. However, since your post I looked into it further and found out that you are right. There's evidently false info out there on this.
  15. I still don't see why the royals should still fit into the system. Yes, maybe the royals may earn the economy a couple of billion. How much do 'they' cost us? No idea, me. What I do know (or at least 'think') is that they are leeches, and leeches we can do without. They represent a 'system' of control over others which shouldn't exist in today's day and age. f**k 'em!
  16. I think it's a case of if it has to exist in this format, it's nice that this has occurred.
  17. This is amazing news. Can you just imagine how much money he has given to charity and how many people he has made happy? Only Moses could compete with that! It is long overdue.
  18. The whole world's a mess in my opinion. Always has been, and probably always will be. Capitalism, desire for power, religion, greed etc are all the ingredients needed to create such a mess. I don't have any solutions, but do think it's a shame. We could all be living more equally and in peace. However, we just keep making the same old mistakes.* Anyway, I don't know enough about politics to be on this thread, really. I only posted that because I have been told that it's very powerful and offers insight. I haven't seen it myself, but it has been on in the background a number of times, so I have seen other people's reactions to it. * - I hate all management speak, with the exception of this one; 'If you always do what you always did, then you'll always get what you always got'.

  20. Just to say, that that's not where I picked it up from. It was my wife that introduced the song to me - as she has done much of my musical likes. My mom and dad's musical input into my early years, was a record like this sort of thing; I had a very stunted appreciation for music. I never even went to Glastonbury for the music. I'm learning now, but ever so slowly. All the best.
  21. It must cost you a fortune. However, you do get to see / live in (for a while) 'paradise' / Brigadoon., and so do your children. So, well worth it, I'd say. Wishing you a fab time there.
  22. Not at that age, as it happens, but I get where you are coming from. 🙂
