  1. Chester Bennington

I tend to agree - they did have a period of being in the wilderness, but their big tunes are still pretty popular and i think that they could of headlined. Each to their own though - that's what makes this forum and the festival so appealing.
  2. Chester Bennington

Very very surprised they were never booked for glastonbury. I think that they would have been great headliners.
  3. Your (potentially) Contraversial Changes to Glasto

Definitely reduce the overall amount of tickets sold. There were quite a few occasions where we were stuck not moving for 5/10 minutes , shuffling a bit and then doing it again in areas. I appreciate that this was by the main stages at certain times but saw quite a few occurrences of people in bad cases of anxiety and panic. A few of these were on the railway track trying to avoid the other stage. There will always be bottlenecks but we did feel that the festival as a whole was busier this year. Loads of things were improved though - think a great festival was had by many. PS - on a security side of things - my wristband was checked so many times it came off in the hand of security on saturday morning.
  4. Wednesday/Thursday Recommendations

It isn't on the app I'm afraid.
  5. Wednesday/Thursday Recommendations

yeah, it will be fairly mainstream northern along with some 60's RnB, motown, breaks and funk thrown in.
  6. Wednesday/Thursday Recommendations

Hello - think that was me. I am djing at the Ridge and Furrow from 8pm on the Wednesday. There is a brilliant DJ from Bristol called Simon Lloyd on before me!!!!
  7. New security measures in place

I don't believe that the festival is moving either ......but. A friend of the family is one of the local landowners and they haven't been approached to sign the deal that the other land owners have recently signed. I could be wrong (and I probably am) but I think that their land covers the teepee area along with the park and others. Maybe there are changes afoot?
  8. Cabaret Field bar, Wednesday 6pm: eFestivals meet

I am djing in the ridge and furrow from 8pm on the wednesday. See you all there.
  9. "Really big secret"

I can't help but agree with lots of people that this big secret may all be a bit of an anti-climax. I hope to be proved wrong. If i was a betting man I would lean more towards a new area rather than a surprise artist. Hopefully we won't have to wait too long to find out.
  10. "Really big secret"

agreed - and the new stuff is pretty awful IMHO
  11. Who or what is the Big Secret ? Poll

I've a friend that is working down on the site - he hasn't seen any signs of a new area (yet!!!)
  12. Arctic Monkeys

musically i have always enjoyed them immensely when I have seen them live. Not sure about the interaction with the crowd though (or lack of it in more recent times).
  13. "Really big secret"

I think that Gaga could be a good shout - this is also in keeping with the attempt for more female artists as mentioned in the Emily Eavis article.
  14. "Really big secret"

    would be great!!!
  15. Site Improvements 2017

we went for a wander around the site in march - there appeared to be lots of ground work through the market area by the cider bus and up to williams green. I am still praying to the rain god.
