I think it depends on how good the sales have performed. They have dropped cheap tickets around this time in the previous 3 years. Sometimes they make it look like they unintentionally made them generally available for everyone when it was only a limited number of tickets available for a specific group of people. It seems like a last resort attempt to cash in the most they can, and generally, in the long run, a bad practice as people like you and me will be waiting for the cheap tickets to drop before paying full price, obviously. This year could be the year they stop it though. That would only be fair for the people who already bought tickets. It's pretty much like touts, you arrive at a sold out event 1 hour before the event and they will try to sell tickets above the price, arrive 10 mins and they will sell you below the price.
