  1. As ever, it was jam packed with people round the edges of the field but if you could navigate 20/30 metres in there was definitely plenty of space. I think people assume it’s like that the whole way through so they just stop where they are but it absolutely isn’t. Although whenever I tried to point this out to people they didn’t believe me. We were mid-right for Elton and at one point early in the set I needed to go to the loo - there and back in ten mins, no problem. tho I think they need to maintain a clear path along the right hand side of the field, bit like a fire Lane, just to ease the natural movement of people in and out of the crowd

    Guns n Roses

That’s ridiculous. They weren’t even the worst headliner this weekend let alone of all time. I loved it.
  3. They’re double decker buses so you should be fine.
  4. Really looking forward to this one. Elvana are playing and they were excellent at Glastonbury
  5. I thought I’d be really emotional before Macca but actually I was just super hyped and buzzing when he actually came on. Although I did start properly crying at Golden Slumbers and never really stopped after that. Watching it back, Blackbird has got me the most so far (haven’t rewatched in full though). Occasionally I’d have this sudden realisation that I was watching ACTUAL PAUL MCCARTNEY FROM THE BEATLES and I couldn’t get my head round it. His music has been such a constant in my life I feel simultaneously so privileged to have seen him do that gig, and also sad that it’s probably the last time I’ll see him. I can’t let myself think about a time when he’s not around anymore.
  6. THIS. So disappointed. I swear it’s why my step count is down from usual - no silent disco dancing until 5am
  7. I think it’s 2 million registered - they’d have no way of knowing who was applying. But yeah it’s bloody difficult and even if only a quarter of those try, the odds are not in your favour. And no loyalty bonus sadly 🙂

    Paul McCartney

Saw a quote on Twitter that said he’s not his own tribute act which summed it up for me. He’s still making music now - with decent tunes in there too - so why should he only play stuff he recorded before 1970? Wings were massive with some classics in there, and of course he’s going to play some solo stuff (including Maybe I’m Amazed which is an absolute belter) And his set lists on this tour have been pretty consistent so easy enough to check out before what he’d play to get more familiar if that’s what bothered people We are really spoiled with McCartney. He’s genuinely in his own league and you can’t compare him to anyone, so you end up comparing his songs to each other - debating whether a song like Yesterday is better than Blackbird when they are both amazing tunes that could be the highlight of any other artists’ set. An 80 year old man ripping out Helter Skelter after 2 1/2 hours on stage was fucking EPIC Not ashamed to say I cried during Golden Slumbers. Will feel privileged to have been in that field for the rest of my life.
  9. Their burritos are amazing too. Was so happy to see them back again - they’ve become a Glasto staple for me.
  10. Blur, 2009, Pyramid. One of my favourite bands. It was a perfect gig, they played an amazing set. But it was the redemption story, the reconciliation of the band, and the energy with the crowd that got me. I’ve never known anything like it. I was emotional the whole gig and when Damon sat down and sobbed his heart out it set me off too. I will never ever top that gig.
