  1. Just from tv coverage , and all from the Other stage . Chvrches The Teskey Brothers Manics. Honorable mention for Unknown Mortal Orchestra at the Park.
  2. First Glastonbury i've spent at home in a few years now, but enjoying the tv coverage ,seems to have moved on a good bit since i last watched it . I like the option of watching the choice of any of the 5 stages . Subsequently i probably saw more bands in one day than i would normally see over the whole festival if i were there . Still rather much rather have been there though, there's nothing quite like it. Never listened to Chvrches before, but they've been the standout for me so far.
  3. Genuine vocal level issues with Axl too then.
  4. Don't know what it's like in the field, but Axl's vocal is quiet in the BBC coverage.
  5. Certainly nothing wrong with Alex Turners vocals , i didn't hear anything particularly out of tune, and if he was ill ,then kudos to him for getting on with it , good old British stiff upper lip and all that . Sharleen Spiteri genuinely sounded like she struggled a bit with her vocals today ,but nobody complained, because she worked the crowd well.
  6. Sparks not playing 'Never turn your back on mother earth',..absolute sacrilege .
  7. I sing and play the guitar a bit, what can you bring to the table ?
  8. Can see Paolo Nutini returning full band next year after this years Rabbit Hole gig.
  9. Save your phones battery life by not filming at the main stages, the BBC will do a far better job than you'll ever do.
  10. Given the huge headache that the Killers caused (Massive exodus ,and having to close all access to the JP) then maybe the Green Day rumour forced their hand. He'll still get a good crowd, but nothing compared to the interest that Green Day would've generated.
  11. BBC says everything is going to be fine. https://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/feeds/61834668
  12. So for an extra 25 quid you get to see a main stage headliner on Thursday night. Seems like a bit of a lottery ,. Its basically a gig within the festival, and if you've paid the extra 25 quid ,you can see a band that you may/may not like. The organisers have over-thought this one imo, they should just add in Sunday, and charge 150. Simple.
