  1. I know someone who was involved in the crew bars there, and said they were really badly supported, so maybe wont be there this year
  2. Will be travelling down on the Monday, but will possibly be in a camper van- long story, car will be out of action, camper only option. will we be ok to park it in the carpark? Will be going on to Toms field to camp, but worried camper wont be allowed in carpark.
  3. Yes, Recycling Crew.
  4. Just found out that the two people I recommended for litter picking have been offered a volunteer spot today! Presume it's because some people are dropping out, maybe because of resale.
  5. Fingers crossed for my referrals then!
  6. Can I ask, were you referred by someone else? our referrals are waiting to hear, and we have been told that they are half way down the list, so trying to gauge any hope for them!
  7. We searched the whole site on the Monday night- all were being taken down. Think the license stopes early hours of Monday
  8. All bars shut after the Sunday night but the toms field canteen can get quite rowdy with pwople drinking the booze they find on the campsite clearouts and whats remaining of there own stash. seem to remember someone producing a trumpet on the last night- bring your earplugs as you may want a few early nights. Food is ok, and free tea and coffee, plugs to charge your phone( although you have to fight i er them sometimes!)
  9. Yes, me and husband did it last year, first time volunteering. we went in on the Monday, great to be there early. The work was hard- walked 14 miles on first day. You are basically clearing all the camp sites. The repetition of constantly bending down was hard! But, doing it again this year. Was great to have the whole of the festival time off, and be there for 12 days.
  10. We worked with some wateraid volunteers litterpicking after the festival, so may not be cleaning the toilets at all.
  11. 2019 walking through one of the campsites late at night, one tent suddenly went up in flames from one of these. They had left the door slightly open and the wind caught it and blew onto to the heater. very scary moment trying to get other people to wake up and get out of there tents or literally pulling tents away from the flames.
  12. We were recommended for the first time last year, and were offered our place properly at the end of March, so maybe you will hear quite soon.
  13. I had my first volunteering role last year with the recycling crew, doing the after festival clear up. have applied to do it again, and are keeping fingers crossed that we get same shifts this year. Does anyone know when we get the confirmation of which shifts we have been assigned?
  14. Done quite a few in Bushey ground. Never had any problems, quite a bit of space, although I do always have earplugs, wherever I camp. Always camped at the bottom of field, and even in rainy 2016 the field wasnt muddy.
