Never having been to Graspop I am unaware of how strict their policys concerning alcohol are. It would be very helpfull if someone who had been to Graspop could tell me what to expect on entering both the campsite and arean at the festival i.e. will it be very hard to smuggle alcohol or will i just need to put it in with my tent. Also are plastic bottles allowed, opened or sealed, as if they are that will greatly help my efforts if i policys are strict.

Graspop should be a beast either way.

This are the rules from Graspop homepage about campsite:

-Glass is strictly prohibited. Once the festival is over, the grounds will (quickly) be reclaimed by our grazing quadrupeds.

-There is a limit of 24 cans (33cl) per head (or equivalent). Cans are not allowed on the festival grounds.

And for festival grounds:

-Tin, plastic and glass containers are prohibited on the festival grounds.

I reccomend you to check all the practical info at:

http://www.graspop.be/pages/index.php?f=info

That's the rules. In practic, me and my friends could pass a few glass bottles to the campsite, but not to the festival area. But it was not neccesary: Beer costs only 2 euros! And if you can collect 20 cups (that you and your friends had drunken before, from the ground, etc) you get a free drink.

I hope this can be helpfull to you.
