It's from there that i got the drink that was to be my fave upon till recently .... JD and Cointreu, plenty of ice, topped up with lemonade. It tastes of, of, well.. Leeds Festival... mmmmmm

the JD thing was brill though. 3 litre bottles of JD (yes please santa) and a real bbq (not gas powered).
Frames
Yeah the food was ace!!

What drinks did they sell other than Jack and how much did they cost?

Cheers

memory not good but...

Jack
Jack and Coke
Jack and Cointreu
err...
that's all I can remember..

I think the double was about £4 but it was an ok measure.

I don't know why I bothered answering - I have no idea really.

just looked at an old photo and there was a carton of orange juice on the bar as well. so I guess jack and orange juice, which sounds too much like health food for me.

It'll be brilliant if it is there again.

I had my tea twice there and I loved the burgers. Although my boyfriend and I queued up for nearly two hours for one on the sunday!!!

I have to say it was worth it though even if they had run out of chips and proper burger buns!!!!!!!

Does anyone remember the old el paso stand one year at Leeds (Tempsey)? That was lovely too.
Jinzo7
Anywhere where you can just get your food quick? I'm not a fan of queues!
icky haggis
festivals are basically queues lol
Jinzo7
I know...it's about damage limitation to me though. Friends are already preparing fun diversions for me in the entrance queue on the Wednesday.
Chihiro Cheeks
I never queued more than ten mins n i got food from there 2 nights!

The nicest drink was a Lynchburg Lemonade. (1 part Jack Daniel's, 1 part triple sec, 1 part sour mix and 4 parts lemon-lime soda)

that sounds bloody amazing
timdalefan
The jd and ginger with a slice of lime they sold there is still the best summer drink in the world. Ever. Well that or cider anyway.
Emitime
I think Rage might top the JD burgers, but i'm not entirely sure y'know.

Was far too expensive for my liking.

I had a few burgers from there despite that and they tasted amazing.

If it comes back i hope they drop the damn prices!

You are joking? JD burgers were the cheapest I found all weekend, they were like £3.50, weren't they? I've payed over £5.50 for far worse burgers than that at Leeds.

It's horrible - far too sweet. Try that back to back against a cheap HP bbq sauce and you'll realise you've been had

you'd be better off buying a bottle of John Daniels and drinking that on its own and f**k the burgers

Fuller@leedsfest
yeah just had it for my tea. it was nice but i agree cant beat a nice HP BBQ sauce. it tasted like that Reggae Reggae Sauce

WAY OFF TOPIC BUT I NEED TO RANT (yes i've had a drink BUT......)

Mrs W and Daughter W are watching the apprentice (sub titled "whose the biggest w*nker")

they have to do a greeting card so the stupid twats do an 'environmental' one.... not a single one of these f**kers said what my daughter said immediately "why would an environmentalist buy a paper, tip filling card"?

THEN, the twats, didn't know where an apostrophe went so they 'phoned a library .... people who rent books --- why would they know what was IN the f**king books? You need your engine fixing you don't go to a car salesroom!

THEN, THESE f**kING c**tS, tried to sell the idea of a 'singles' card. A card for people to send to each other to celebrate being on their own. WHO WOULD BUY THEM AND WHO WOULD THEY SEND THEM TO??? Their on their f**king OWN!!!!!!!!

Can't we vote to kill these C U N T S ??????

sorry

but f**k me with a cactus

Yes, Ian you are right. They are total f**king c**ts and their mothers should be clubbed to death with their own arms
Fuller@leedsfest
these are trhe dort of people that are meant to be the brains behind business and i agree with the comments, these people should be put out of there misery when they were kids
albino
i kinda like the apprentice, its big brother for 'clever people'. I.e people who are sooo far up Alan Sugar's backside they can't see out, and who appear to have even less common sense than Jade Goody! its always funnier to laugh at clever people being stoopid as they should darn well know better tongue.gif

How the hell did this thread get onto the Appentice. Maybe I'm in Ian's camp (bit drunk). But I thought it was a Leeds Festival website.

In 'camp' I meant the drunk ranting that you are famous camp. Never going on efestivals when had a drink again (it took me ages to type as well).

I know love, you sensitive soul. I was only f**king with yer...

and my advice would be to NEVER (EVER!) go on efestivals when you've not had a drink.....

otherwise when you meet people from here at Leeds they'll not recognise you....... Drink Now, Drink for Ever ( or at least until you get cirrhosis of the liver)

Best man at my wedding (yes, I have had a drink or ten --- all rememberingish and everything) was called Gray. He picked the first record for Karen and I to dance to at our evening do. The evening do of the best day of my life when I married my loved one. He picked Gloria Gaynor singing "I Will Survive" a song about a divorce

Are you a tactless twat aswell?

either way - hope to meet you at Leeds

xx

ianpw
OH NO!!!

No mention of the Jack Daniel's Saloon on the map sad.gif
ianpw
Nooo Don't let this subject die. Good JD drinks are essential to a festival experience.

I e-mailed JD and they said:

Hello Ian,

Thanks for writing and for your interest in Jack Daniel's. You might try contacting our office in the UK to see if the folks there can assist you with your inquiry. Their information is listed below:

Brown Forman Beverages, Europe, LTD
Grove House
2 Orange Street
London, WC2H 7DF
UNITED KINGDOM
+44 (0)20 7478 1300

Thanks again!

Jayme and friends at Jack Daniel's

Your friends at Jack Daniel's remind you to drink responsibly.

FIRST OF ALL THE OVER FAMILIARITY MAKES ME WANT TO KILL OUR AMERICAN COUSINS ........ but..... they have a point. I don't want to phone the UK arm of their marketing bastards because I don't do phone calls very well, but I think YOU SHOULD! (whoever you are).

We need to know whether lynchburg lemonades and decent burgers (vegetarian in my case) will be available. S won't one of you lovely's phone them to check ??

quick edit 'cos I just re-read and realised I missed out the important bit. What I wanted to know was whether the JD saloon would be at leeds this year

xx

The JD Saloon will not be at Leeds this year sad.gif I was told yesterday by the brand manager for Jack Daniel's in the UK (I work for Bacardi Brown Forman brands)... Apparently it was all set to be there, but was pulled at the last minute for reasons I couldn't find out sad.gif I'm doubly gutted as apparently I would have been "sorted out for the weekend" if it was there! sad.gif
