Anyone ever had any dealings with SOS Ticketmaster (sold out specialists). They have weekend camping tickets at £175, not a bad price, just a bit wary of buying from them as don't know if they are genuine?
Paul ™
Just send me the £175.. all will be fine
leftie_lou

beezer123
was it just my imagination or can you buy a camping upgrade at the entrance to the campsite if you have a weekend ticket?

Hey, I'm considering buying from SOS Ticketmaster. Have you had any more luck finding out about their reputation? Also was wondering whether you can get the early bird pass for thursday from anyone but ticketmaster as this is how the T in the Park website makes it sound. Thanks in advance.

i think the fact that this sos ticketmaster are trying to sell friday day tickets tells you everything you need to know about them

DO NOT!!! GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY
Red Day
I would imagine that any site using the name ticketmaster is trying to give the sense of a genuine seller. Where would a ( I imagine) a profit making company sell a ticket for that price. I think they'll show them at that price to try and get folk to think they're getting a great deal but in reality I would think you'll have bu88er all chance of seeing your ticket.

Wait until the next batch go on sale or keep looking at scarlet mist website.

DONT USE THEM

They are selling tickets for Bennicassim on there for about 40 quid more than they are and its not even sold out yet!

I think you can go to yoru abnk and explain whats happened, they MIGHT be able to do something before the money goes out. You could lie and say your cards been stolen and not to take any direct debit out thats come through in the last few days.

But seriously don't use this site or any other ones that aren't official outlets. You've probably got more luck of getting a ticket on Ebay than there.
GeeGee
Not gonna lie man, then i'll just get into shit lol I called my bank and they were like well using your debit card is a guaranteed payment, so i've just got to hope. The thing is i know a good twenty of us have just used that website if not more. f**ks sake i should have just waited, If my tickets don't come you reckon i can get my money back? cheers

Dunno, maybe not.

phone watchdog or something like that and talk to them about it. Or look on the internet for advice in these situations.
koodgipo
I work for a large high st bank, if you phone them now like NOW and say youve lost your Card and need to cancel it, then this will stop any more payments being put through.

You'll be buggered if they have already authorised the payment though. Ask your bank to check if there is anything pending which has been authorised recently, but still to debit. If it has, then there's not much you can do unless you've paid by credit card as I think you are covered for services/items not received. I think Visa debit cards have some sort of protection too but not maestro. If you pay by solo or maestro and you dont receive the goods then there's nothing at all your bank can do to help.

I say cancel the cards a.s.a.p if you're in any doubt at all.

Hope this helps!
iain_kerr
cant believe you were stupid enough to do it!

especially weeks after they sold out!!
psytramp
I made the same stupid mistake. I checked sos ticketmaster out AFTER i bought i ticket, i was kinda under the influence last night and hastily panic bought a ticket from them. Iv checked it out pretty fully and heres the damage
SOS tickets was only set up in jan. 2008 - which dosent bode well.
They are based in spain...the address points towards an office in a flat in a golf club...
i have emailed the spanish trading standards agency to check them out
i have emailed watchdog to check them out
i have emailed the british trading standards
i have also emailed them asking what security policies and guarantees they have in place, and wether any of these are notable trusted internet hall marks.
I rang my credit card company and they told me they didnt think the website looked dodgy at all, i still disagree. Couldnt cancel the transaction because SOS havnt actually took anything out of the account yet...and when they do all i can do is contest them as i willingly gave them my details. The only way i could win that dispute would be if i didnt recieve the tickets, however we only recieve tickets a week prior to the event, if not even closer to the event.
Another thing on there actual website when u click on returns / delivery the only info. that comes up is that on delivery - nothing on returns.
In a sad sad way its all quite laughable. I feel incredibly stupid for doing it and im usualy a lot more careful.
Scary thing is what SOS could do is take out all the money everyone owes them at once...then just do a runner. Think thats usualy how these con operations work.
On the other hand the website might actually be legit. they could of just bought a lot of tickets on bulk and then flogged them for a higher price under the guise that the tickets are 'hard to get' but this seems like internet touting which has got to be illegal??
Anyone else make the same mistake? and what is everyone doing about it?
Cheers

hello i made the mistake ordering from SOS.
but i do know if my next credit card statement comes i can get the money back if the ticket is not recived.
i did a little research and found some positive feedback towards SOS ( so gives me the impression that they are a real company not a con)
but i did read that it could be between 12- 21 days or something along them lines. but surely if we ordered the tickets last night they should come in about two weeks at the most if there coming from spain.. not 21 - 12 days before? has any one else ever ordered tickets a few months before the event then recived the tickets like a week or two before the event?
thanks all
irons
Tickets never arrive till around a couple of weeks before the festival, no matter where you've ordered them from.
GeeGee
Well mate I'm the same, I never do stupid shit like this. Ive spent all day juggling money and stuff and ringing up banks, and tried SOS ticket master. At first i couldn't get a hold of them, I panicked and moved all my money. I finally got through to them and they seem legit mate apparently it's other companies placing shitty rumors. I had to cancel my ticket as ive manged to f**k up my bank accounts. I don't think I'll end up making it too Leeds anymore I'm really really annoyed.

Of course they would claim they are legit, how else would they convince people to hand over their money to them? I did a quick search for their details online and their details shouldn't really fill anyone with confidence, emails going to a golf club in spain but the web address being registered to someone in south east london london with a seemingly disconnected mobile number and a random web based email contact address. Put together with the fact they are selling tickets that dont actually exist (the friday tickets for T in the park someone mentioned earlier in the thread) and are using the name "Ticketmaster" to try to make people think they are affiliated with the actual ticketmaster it just screams out scam to me. Some people may get their tickets they have ordered from them but the vast majority will be left with no tickets and no money back.
GeeGee
I've told them to cancel my order and they said they would, to be fair i have mixed opinions about them, If they charge me im going to go mental, they better not try it. I think i would be able to sue then.
GeeGee
You reckon i should cancel my card also just to be on the safe side? what you guys think?

What number did you use for them mate?
I left my mam in charge of getting my leeds ticket last night as i was at work, she came across the sos ticketmaster site from nme.com.
Ive emailed them but no reply yet. My mam has checked her c card, nothing has been deducted yet. Ive since managed to get a leeds ticket late last night from see. So really need to cancel the ticket bought with sos.

can any one confidently say that they have recived a ticket from SOS ticket master?

Sos advertise on NME. But so do lots of dodjy sites. They also advertise on legit radio stations as well, means bugger all. THE only place you can be guarenteed tickets is official sellers. Ticketmaster, Seetickets, NME and places like that. Don't be a fool and think these sellers are legit, their not!

If your that desperate for tickets, wait till the later announcement, there will be one sometime.

i'd close/cancel your account just in case.. drastic maybe, but it'll be worth it huh.gif

i've heard about quite a few people who have used sos and it's deffo something that has to be brought to the attention of the ticket-buying public.. they also "sell" tix for sports events and concerts too.. try watchdog, and if not, theres always the mirror investigates http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/investigates

good luck.. you'll need it.. dry.gif

no, as has been said here over and over.

every year previous to this they have applied after the fact and been granted a 5k rise in the license, and as such sold these tickets at a later date.

due to restrictions on this years license this will not happen. no extension is being applied for, so no more tickets.

did anyone recieve their tickets who bought from sos ticketmaster?
S0LDIER.
I registered here just to say this...

I know this is a bump but heres what I have to say about this site:

This site is LEGIT. You should feel happy using this website, they are Ticket Toutes that have set up a website on the internet!

They are not blacklisted from Reading or Leeds festivals as ticket sellers, theyre just frowned upon because they are not authentic sellers such as SeeTickets and TicketMaster.

I have bought 2 Camping tickets for Reading at £200 a pop.

I phoned up Abbey and told them to have a watch over the transaction with SOSMasterticket.com - They watched the transaction and got in touch with them and had a conversation with the manager. The payment was accepted and Abbey assured me they are authentic and a legitiment company.

Please, don't worry yourself, your tickets are coming and you're going to have a great time!

See you at reading! biggrin.gif

Edit: So you guys know, if you buy ANY tickets from ANY Reading festival ticket site, be it a authentic seller such as SeeTicket or Ticket Master or SOSMasterTicket, you WILL NOT receive your tickets untill 3 - 2 weeks before the event! - Please dont worry if you DO NOT receive your ticket before the end of july/Mid august! IT WILL COME!

Hmmm yeah, those last two posts by completely new users bigging up a ticket tout website just before a major festival, not in the least bit suspicious at all!
