These are the sites that are constantly shown on watchdog. I'd consider ebay before them

simplt question. do you think i'll get my tickets? if not is there anywhere else i could try?
aud_bod
someone i know got their tickets from them last year and didn't get them until the day of the festival - by then it was too late and they had already went down the ebay route - she'd tried phoning them weeks before but they just gave her a lot of useless shitey lies

of course because they delivered the company refused a refund

she paid well over the price from seatwave - then again on ebay so was ££££££££££££££££££'s out of pocket

good luck though - hope it doesnt turn out the same way for you sad.gif

Sorry, but you should have come on here and done your research first.

good luck anyway
eFestivals
Seatwave sells tickets that it doesn't have. It hopes to get the tickets somehow to get them to you, but there's a good chance you won't get them. This is the same with all "secondary market" resellers.

As people say, you're better off risking eBay.

i'mt fussed bout the price i got them for. but i'm just worried that i'll not get them. or then they'll be dodgy 1s
BigYin
I've no idea if you'll get your tickets, never used one of those sites before. You could go down the ebay road which is probably safer. Best bet is to hold tight and keep checking Ticketmaster, Seetickets , Lastminute regularly becauase theres always more tickets released between now and July in dribs and drabs due to cancellations , duplicate orders etc.

ticketmaster ticket exchange
wait to see if TM release more tickets

or just hang about on this forum and pray.

very silly to panic and buy from the likes of those people.

and if you are goin down the ebay route chek how many tix the seller has. if he is just selling the one you have more chance of getting it than the guy whos says he has 100 - although i wouldn't trust either 100%

i had a really close call one year, ended up gettin my ticket on the friday morning before i left....i was bricking it - not advised
kimmzy89
i've got that email so i'm happy for now!

hope it all goes well, its never nice having to trust others with your tickets, just make sure you keep in contact with them, all should be fine wink.gif
kimmzy89
don't worry i'll be emailing weekly! don't see how ebay would be more legit.

without wanting to panic you, don't be too happy. wink.gif

They do not have the tickets in their hand to sell you, and they might never have the tickets in your hand to sell you. Operations like this all 'sell' tickets they do not have (or to put it properly, they take your order and hope to be able to fulfill it - but there is no guarantee and there is a large failure rate).
aud_bod
sorry but they're hardly going to say

"Dear valued customer,

thanks for paying twice the face value for tickets you may/may not recieve, we apologise for the inconvenience of shiting it for the next few months may cause you
xoxo

Seatwave"

ugh i feel bad saying that - just please don't expect too much from them, they may come through for you - i hope they do

these kind of companies tend to move on and change their names all the time, but at the end of the day they're just out for the money - as soon as you try and track them down they disappear

i really hope it works out ok for you though
kimmzy89
Secondary ticket brokers such as Viagogo and Seatwave are growing in influence. Seatwave offers buyers a guarantee that they will get the tickets they ordered in time for the event, or it will pay them the full ticket price plus half of what they paid. Its customers also receive free "ticketcover", which provides a refund if a performance is cancelled. Viagogo guarantees that buyers will get their tickets in time, and it will provide "similar or better" ones, or a full refund, if there is a problem

found that in a gaurdian article.
loyal tennants drinker
u cud get a holiday abroad for such prices. to hell wif paying that much! my pal got fukd over the same way by an online tout company from london in 2005. he wasnt the only 1. he was camping outiside the campsite along with 30 others who'd also suffered to the same swine
aud_bod
talk is cheap

we're not saying you wont get your tickets - just maybe........don't be too optimistic then you wont get let down

seriously i heard about half a dozen stories like my friends last year - i'd rather miss out altogether than go through all that - they spun her shite for weeeeeks mad.gif
kimmzy89
got 4 off, of ticketmater!! now just trying to sell my other 1s! ha

Don't worry - Seatwave are completely legit. My friend works there and they have all sorts of guarantees and whatnots so you'll get your tickets. I bought for the Queens and they came, no hassle.

Seatwave are only legit in that they won't take your money and run. Like every "secondary market" ticket seller, they are selling tickets that they don't have and which they have no way of knowing they can definitely get.

A guarantee of your money back is one thing, completely different to a guarantee of supplying the tickets.

Am i right in saying T put a batch of 5000 up for sale through ticketmaster after the Feb sale last year? Were they with camping though? Wonder if they might do that again??? Im not going down the Ebay route just yet. Think il hope and pray through Ticketmaster.

If I remember they were only sat/sun tickets possibly weekend, check TM every so often some may crop up.

Only use eBay as a last resort wink.gif

Yeah they did, it was when they had the licence increased by 5000 per day.

As far as I know, there is no plans to increase capacity this year, but I reckon they will try it anyway.. too crowded as it is

Sorry - I have to disagree guys. Seatwave are far safer than eBay. eBay won't do anything after 90 days or so and we all know that tickets only come out days before the event so if you bought in advance, the seller is long gone by the time you discover you've been duped. Seatwave aren't selling the tickets (so they're not selling tickets they don't have) - it's just a place where fans can sell (or buy) tickets if they can't go to the event anymore. I think you guys need to have a good look through the site before you decide.

Nope - but my housemate recently got a job there and that was how I heard about them. Bought some tix recently after she convinced me to give them a try and I can't complain. Each to their own experience, I guess.
