We've booked our own bus this year and I just wanted to check that even tho its not an official Citlylink bus we'll still be allowed to stop at the bus drop off point beside the campsite entrance. Anyone care to enlighten me?
Cheers in advance

If its your own bus then I am sure they will drop you off wherever you tell them to.
We are always the West one but the majority of our bus have normal non camping tickets so its ideal.

Mind you our bus driver last year told us he was going to drop us off in the centre of Kinross! Aye right mate!!
He said there was 45 min q's and he had to be in Edinburgh at 1 for a wedding. Well there was if you came off at Junction 5 and went the long way round but if you went off at J6 it was fine, straight in, parked, off bus and into site 30 mins after leaving from local pub.

We get our own bus every year and they dont let us off at the citylink drop off point, maybe its the route we come in but i'll be telling him to go to the east end this year and demanding we get dropped off there as the walk last year was about an hour to the main entrance, was not funny!

Yeh we book a bus every year. It doesn't drop you off where the shuttle buses frop you off, there is a special place for coaches and mini-busses. You also have to pay like a £20 fee to stop there. Then its like over a half an hour walk. Probablly the worst part of the weekend hiking it the scorching sun carry all your booze. I'm sweating just thinking about it.

i dont understand where all these posts about 20 minute walks and that are coming from.
Our minibus stopped right at the campsite entrance last year. No questions asked and no comments from Stewards or security. Came back on Monday and got us at exact same spot

Wasn't 20mins more like an hour, what end do you go in?

Drop off zone right at the main entrance to campsite. Took about 5 mins to get there. Probably less. Looking at the map it was the North East Pickup/Drop off zone
Our minibus was and 18 or 20 seat bus

Exact same happened to u last year mate. In hindsight we shouldve told the stewards where to shove their £20 and unloaded anyway. What could they really do?

We've got a 52 seater and a 16 seater going and there's still no room on ours or you could've came on that.
