im sorry but i will have to disagree with some of the comments made after the line up was announced. although it is a shame that some of the big bands that were rumoured are not playing ie. muse, radiohead, even the kaiser chiefs the line up is not all that bad. i guess it is just the different views of people and what bands they like. you might go to T and hear a band you thoughtyou never liked and turn up really getting in to them. with all the build up to my first year at T i admit i was a little dissappointed with the line-up. but some of the bands i wanted to see are going to be there the likes of the fratellis, my chem, killers and lots more. i would have loved to see muse again and radiohead but, they are not there and i will just exept becasue this is still the best festival.

Personaly I like the bands that have been announced. But lets compare them to prev years headliners.
They should just call it the New Music Festival.

i agree with you there but i dont think muse/kaiser chiefs are much bigger bands than the announced today, people will always say the line up is rubbish no matter who gets annonced, cant please them all, T will still be superb tho as its the atmosphere that makes it so special, keepin in mind its only launch day still alot more to come..sum ppl need to chear up its not the end its only the begining of great things to com
hope you enjoy your first T as much as i have enjoyed the 8 ive been to,every year just seems to get better an better no matter the line up...

I think, and it's just my opinion, that if all these bands were announced and some big 'proper' headliners, as in bands that have lasted the test of time and have a huge back catalouge, were announced then people would be more pleased. There's nothing 'special' about any of the bands announced so far, it's just all the current NME, hyped, flavour of the month bands really. I like loads of the bands playing and I do like the headline acts I just don't feel they meet up with what I've come to expect from T headliners.

agree 100% Still loads of time left too. NME usually has some legend or well respected artist (Ian Brown, Weller, etc) headlining at least one night so im hoping they demote the kooks to 2nd top or less and slot in an act with a bigger back catalogue.

Surprised they are headlining download tbh. They do put on a damn good show (seen them 3 times) but they aint really headline material imo. Juggling whether or not to see them at T if i get ticket though.

Snow Partol= 4 albums
James= several (i aint sure) but a lot more than 2
Goo Goo Dolls= again a lot more than 2
Kings of Leon will have 3 albs by T time
Babyshambles have some Libertines stuff to play plus 2 albums worth of songs come T
Actually this line up aint as bad as it was earlier for some reason. Maybe the shock has settled a wee bit. lol

You'll love them. Get right down near the front (shouldnt be too hard to push your way through a crowd of 16yr olds). They really put on a good, entertaining, engaging show.
