Hydro Connect Festival & T in the Park scoop event awards

Hydro Connect Festival and T in the Park are today celebrating after winning at the inaugural Scottish Event Awards presented by The Drum. Scotland’s first award ceremony of its kind paid testament to the nation’s buoyant live music industry; Hydro Connect Festival won Best Small Festival, while T in the Park walked away with Best Large Festival, the Green Award and the prestigious Event Grand Prix Award.

What a pile of shite laugh.gif

Even less worthwhile than the VF Awards

T and connect are the worst festivals i've been to!

connect would be good if it had decent organisers. which it doesn't have. so it's not good.
rexclark81
Probably as well deserved as Michelle McManus's recent Slimmer Of The Year Award. laugh.gif
Hebn2themix
Maybe as a thank you to us paying customers for helping to make it a great festival. They can drop the prices for next year?

Did any1 else see pigs fly?

I was about to say that. Im sure rachelbon was one who agreed that there were too many greetin faces on here who whined constantly about the festival that they obviously hate and im assuming are forced to go to every single year.

there are too many people who moan constantly. i don't moan constantly. just a lot of the time.

You probably moan more than anyone else on here. Nobody cares. Heard you the first time when you made a thread about it. I really dont understand why you think you keep needing to slag it off. You said you were never going to go back again, so dont! Forget about it. Let it go.

You already made a fool of yourself in the "My Tosspot boyfriend got stupidly drunk and injured himself and the asshole stewards were more concerned with his safety and well being than letting me see him" thread.

I especially loved the comment "I have no idea why people keep going back to TITP every year when there are so many better festivals out there". If you want to know the answer to that ask yourself, I mean you've been to the last four T's haven't you? Oh wait, I forgot about your other extensive festival background... rolleyes.gif

Oh but wait, *STOMPS FEET* You're not going back next year now are you!! *STOMPS FEET* Dry your eyes eh?

It's only as good as you, yourself, make it. If you go with the specific intention of looking down on the majority of people there, complaining about how shit the bands are and that the food is a bit expensive then of course you're going to have a rubbish time.

People who can't enjoy themselves at T in the Park really are tossers.
Stu Gee
Id find it really difficult not to enjoy myself at T, id have to really concentrate on it. Im in a nice place getting drunk and whatever with my best friends and listening to music i like, its impossible for me not to enjoy that kind of situation. People complain too much.
irons
I still enjoy T. It's what you make it I suppose. It's not crap as some people say, IMO at least. It is overpriced and overated thou, there's a lot better out there.

But some people can't see past it, which is a pity. The Wickerman for instance is 10 times the festival T is nowadays. But some people like to go and see huge bands and T fills that niche.

Must be great lookin down on everyone from your high horse. Is it a crime to have an opinion and criticise a fesdtival after attending it? Peoples opinions have changed of T In The Park and in the majority of people the festival is getting continually worse. The main problem is the people who come on before T and complain about it yet still buy tickets.

And it seems there is a deep feeling of Festival snobbery goin on here, Surely people have to find there feet with festivals? Most will start with the larger more popular festivals then start going to the smaller less commercial ones?

Balls. First T I ent to was magic, and it's been decreasing ever since. I've also been to other festivals since (Download 04 was a fake scottish one so doesnt realy count)

T is okay but it's not as good as other festivals. Even other over priced festivals with a lot of shit in the line up. And I've not even been to that much festivals.

You can enjoy the same things you can at T ten times better at other festivals.

You should maybe try actually reading what I said before replying to it. You might make a bit more sense then. I singled out one complainer. The person who I believe is the worst on here. I have no problems with people airing their views but where everyone has the right to say what they think, I have the right to tell them they're retarded. Which her big long original complaint was. To make it even worse she is also a complete hypocrite! Last year moaning at the folk who are constantly complaining and then taking that crown herself. Also acting like people are idiots for going to T every year when she herself has gone the last four.

I'm not sure who you think is being a Festival snob? I offered no opinions on any festival. My point was, feel free to constructively criticise... however learn the line between criticising and becoming a complete f**king moan.

I wouldn't be quite as harsh on Rachel. As she's a girl they do moan quite a lot. All of the time in fact. And they also change their mind. So, by next year T in the Park will be the best thing since sliced hamster. cool.gif

exactly. i made my comments after attending the festival. in the months leading up to T i was as excited as everyone else. but we can't all enjoy everything and i'm entitled to express an opinion. this forum is for duscussing T in the park - it doesn't always have to be positive discuission. there's plenty of people who moan a lot more than i do on there - but there's only about 10 people still posting so maybe i'm the worst out of the people still posting. wait until february when everyone re appears and moans in every post - then they all buy tickets yet again. this is something i have never done.
Alah
The old "oh but im entitled to express my opinion".

You are that is true. And by god you use that right over and over again.

I however, also reserve the right to express my opinion that yours is full of horse shit.

Can you see the circle?

You should try moving on and letting go. You'll feel better for it.
