Yeah, i have managed to aquire the latest installment of KOL goodness tae

(please note i WILL be buying it aswell) and it certainly is a change in direction, its f**king ace though i have to say!! Only thing i dont agree with is they have basically got two tunes with the same name, Be Somebody and Use Somebody...... dont like that but both tunes are f**king ace so that makes it up
This stuff mixed with their other 3 albums is just a perfect mix likes, i dont think theres any other band out there with that kinda catalogue of music to play with and its just another reason as to why the Kings of Leon are one of the best bands in the game!! Theres video diarys of them up on youtube that are pretty f**king amusing

Erm did you see KOL this year, it was the most half-hearted big name performance I've seen in three years.
No more KOL next year, please.

Agreed, heard a few people saying they didnt like them this year but i thought they were great. You dont have to be jumping around the stage like an idiot to produce a full hearted perfomance.

While I don't think KoL should perform again next year, their single is #2 midweek, so it could be likely.

Really hope they play. At first I was thinking, Oasis, Coldplay, Muse, Franz, Radiohead would be the headliners, but KoL defo have to headline one of the nights, preferably Saturday. The lack of performance pish that people are saying - does it really matter? They are the best band in the world at the moment, once the rest of their country realise this they'll be the biggest. New album is terrific, I prefer Aha Shake, but then I'm a teenager and i probably prefer taht sound to some of the more mature stuff on Because of the Times and Only By The Night. So glad I saw them before the rest of the world took notice.

In Ts defence, for some f**ked up reason REM headlined and KoL played a shorter set to that of Glasto. They didnt play Trani, Red Morning Light, Arizona, Manhattan(altho iv bn told they did) or Razz. Still the best hour of my life watching them play live.

I think that f***ed up reason might be that REM are one of the biggest bands in the world of the last 20 years - no? Seriously a band as big as REM are never going to appear at a festival like T as anything other than main stage headliners.

its not the fact they didnt jump about and chat its the fact they looked like they couldnt give a shit and wanted to get the gig over with just a souless performance in my opinion! instead of having them high up mainstage why not put on say flaming lips or my bloody valentine on instead? flaming lips is quite easily one of the most fun gigs you will ever witness

Whilst flaming lips are awsome, if we were to put on fun bands/gigs we could have sfg, hoosiers, kaisers et al who would all fall into that bracket

Kol were superb they dont need to be cracking jokes etc there tunes do the talking

Love listening to KoL, but as a live experience they leave me cold. Don't think it's the bands fault just think that their sound is more suited to being listened using headphones, loud, and alone while making guitar faces.
