Heyho!

This is my first time at Leeds & was curious as to what alcohol they sell at the bars. I know it will be the standard pints etc but anything else?? I remember at T they sold wine & cider as well. Is it similar at Leeds?

In previous year's it was sponsored by Carling, but not this year. I'd expect them to still sell roughly the same stuff though - i think they have a limited choice of spirits (vodka, gin, Jim Beam) wine and mixers. Very similar to T i expect.

The alcohol sponsors this year are Tuborg (same company as Carlsberg, not sure if it's Tuborg or Carlsberg they'll be selling at the bars, or what the difference is) and Gaymers who I think will be selling their standard cider and their perry. Don't know about ale, I seem to remember them selling John Smiths or some other standard bitter in the past but I might be wrong.

Don't know about wine, but I'd have thought there will be some. And yeah there will be a few spirits too.

They are selling Gaymers cider and Gaymers pear cider and I think it's Tuborg lager.

aw thats great. Wasn't too keen on the thought of drinking beer all weekend haha. Just wanted to make sure! A little bit of wine would do quite nicely in the hot weather (fingers crossed!)

Think it might be Vladivar, It definately was a couple of years ago.

oh well. that's pretty minging but it's not as bad as vodkat. there is nothing worse than vodkat! (well, maybe pish).

That will be perry, not cider - despite what the marketing men would want you to believe. It's just plain Perry a drink that the autistic children of the wealthy classes, particularly ones called Jeremy, get given to drink at the Polo so that the champagne can be enjoyed by those who look more like horses than the actual horses.

Unfortunately if it's Gaymers then it's a bit on the sweet side for my liking and nowhere near as good (or strong!) as Brothers 7% stuff
