How many people go to this, and how does everyone behave?

I don't think I could go to be honest. It would either be quiet and cinema-like, in which case I could watch them at home. Or, as I imagine it would be, it'd be noisy, so you can't really follow it well and you might as well be at your camp drinking.

Also, who it is aimed to please? Families?

(I'm not being critical of this event/tent, I'm genuinely intrigued. Just not enough to find out when I'm there)

Good question. I'd love to know this. If everyone's going to smashed, going to see any of these films could be ridiculously funny.

Agreed, although I don't think these films fit that idea. I presume that this is in the arena and also that would presumably mean you can't take alcohol in.

Having not been to this tent before, I don't want to go and it's full of fuddy-duddy's, as its along way to walk without alcohol for that.

What a load of crap, they should show stuff like Anchorman, Borat etc... that would get people interested and keep them entertained.

TV shows would be better as you don't have to sit for long and you only have to wait a short amount of time before the next episode.

I'd suggest a mixed episode selection from The Office, Alan Partridge, Phoenix Nights, Little Britain, Scrubs, etc. I think that'd go down alot better than I Am Legend.

At Download in previous years when they have done it, people just generally get drunk and talk to each other and have a laugh while watching the movies. They played anchorman a few years back and we sat with a case of beer and a joint or two, watched the movie and had a few jokes and I have clearly remember when Baxter jumps into the bear pit to save them nealy everyone cheering and chanting for baxter laugh.gif

very good times can be had at said cinema, just as long as they allow at leeds us to take our own beer into the arena outside of the live music hours, then it could very much be a great night.

Yeah, I reckon that would be a lot better. Perhaps with videos of a pick of the day's sets inbetween.

Do the bars stay open for the cinema? I doubt they'd be allowed to relax the drinks rules, and I doubt even the friendliest security guys would be lax enough to let everyone take a meaningful amount of beer in.

Been once or twice in the past few years, not many people we're there but was alright if you fancied watching em, think we watched Starsky & Hutch back in 04 or 05.
