Hi, I'm a festival virgin! Can anyone tell me if there is a limit to the size of tent you can take to T in the Park? Thanks.

There is no rule, however stick to a rule of no more than 2 spaces per person ie 4 man tent for 2 people. People will get pissed off if there are 2 people in an 8 man tent. Watch out for the tent police lol

Nah, not at all, size matters when it comes to tents, you want to be comfy!

But if you are taking something bigger than a 4 or 5 man or something, get there early or else you will struggle to find a space big enough.

Yeah I would say don't expect to be comfortable if you take a cheap 2 man for 2 people

I have a 4 man for myself.

We were totally struggling to fit everyone in this year in our space towards Friday afternoon cause everyone kept turning up with f-ing four man tents for just themselves! Be sensible, share!

It seriously pisses me off when people do this. When my group gets in, we get in together and camp together. None of this saving spaces crap, if they arent there TOUGH SHIT they can camp somewhere else.

In fact, when i was setting up my tent this year, the very first thing I heard was "ho, f**k off you're not camping there - we're saving it for mates". it was going to turn into an argument and i didnt want the c**ts spoiling my weekend, so I resorted to finding another spot.

I solve that issue by arriving early with my mates tents & setting them up

On the Thursday night only two of us were going (another two coming on Friday). So me and a mate had an 8 man tent between two of us. Was massive!

this year i took my motor home which is a fook off 6.5 ton truck just 4 meeee

and we struggling to fit it in anywhere on friday afternooon
so id go early if its any bigger than that

I have a five man tent with a decent porch but i usually find a mate to share as its quite large also means we can take more booze as we take half the tent each.

hoping to drive down this year though for the first time and will have to purchase a B&Q trolley as my old one was shit in the 2007 mud

where did you park it? can you take it in to the campsite with a camping ticket? or does it cost more?

You should be reet, we got in about 10:30ish on the friday and ended up in indigo, didn't really fill up til later on in the day. Plenty of space.
