i'm heading down on the wednesday to try and get a ticket as i'm havin no luck at the min. does anyone know where is best to stay or get one or should i just chance it on the thursday???

sorry, had a bit to drink, i got no ticket yet, everyone keeps telling me to go down on wednesday and chance getting one, i wouldnt know where to start looking or where to stay, and was hoping someone could help me as i'm not having much luck at all! all my mates are going on thursday so just worried with going down alone on wednesday.

as you approach the festival down the main road there are usually touts, if no joy from them maybe have a walk up to the ticket collection booth near the fence/security/entrance thing to see if any returns have gone on sale on the sly. if no joy.. catch a bus back to leeds, go to a few bars then to the train station where there is a 24 hour bar. drink until the first bus in the morning sets off to the site.. repeat process until in the fest.

otherwise google hostel or hotel & leeds.

Just seduce someone then steal their ticket.

sounds ok to me i guess. i get scared alone! :-( lol. someone suggested an all inclusive bus where u buy a ticket on the bus n it provides transport to and from the festival. do they exist???? or are people just dreamin??

just checked and theyve changed it now Mon–Sun 9am–midnight

Is the Box Office easily accessible from the Coach Drop-off Point? I'm presuming no as it's round the other side, but surely they must have some provision for getting there if you're taking the shuttle bus? Couple of mates are hoping to buy on the day but we can only really get there by bus.

so theres no 24 hour bar??? dammit!!! if anyone does know of a 24 hr bar please keep me in the know!!!

Nope, its Yellow gate which lets you in near Yellow Bubble, the box office is at the Drop off car park which is next to Red I believe :S

Ah... okay, 2 and 3 years ago (i didnt go last yr) the box office was at the yellow bubble entrance, which was also where the shuttle buses dropped you.

Or are there two box offices?

There may well be two box offices, I know there's one near Red, but didnt see one when I got the shuttle bus in 2006. Then again, I wasn't looking:P
