The only festival ive been to is T in the Park (4 times), and every year the amount of people (guys and girls) peeing on any available surface seems to increase. Some of my friends were camped in the purple zone and there were always loads of people peeing against the perimeter fence. It was the same with the hedge in Blue. Im just wondering if this problem is so bad at other festivals, in the UK and abroad?

You can maybe understand the odd girl as the queue might be huge, so its preferable to peeing yourself, but the amount of guys going anywhere REALLY disgusted me this year, and im not the kinda person that moans about a bit of dirt/portaloos etc.

Even in the arena people are peeing near the water taps, and I saw more than one guy pissing on the ice cream vans - which I think is appalling.

Just be grateful he didn't come back with a "flake" in his 99.

i agree, it was disgusting to see guys peeing everywhere you look. its always bad but seemed much worse this year and thats with a lot more toilets everywhere. just lets you see what kind of homes they come from. dragged up not brought up. the women that squat and piss anywhere are disgusting tramps. male or female i would hit them with an on the spot fine of £40 and throw them out, taking wristbands and tickets off them.also the trend of more and more women lying about the place pissed is getting ridiculous and in part i blame the fact that over the last few years those little bottles of wine on sale make it easier for drunken boot's to make themselves into car crash victims very quickly. their parents/ bf's etc must be very proud.

Jeez. I had a brilliant time this year, absolutely no bother from anyone, great camp, line up was OK, but doubt ill be back and this is one of the main reasons Dont mind roughing it for a few days, but theres a difference between roughing it and living in a squalor.

My mate saw what he thought was a guy shielding a girl squatting doing a pee, she was actually giving the bloke oral sex at the urinals!!! How minging is that

As for the peeing, the toilets were not that bad that girls especially should do it outside, I was only in one toilet the whole week-end that made me feel sick. I've seen a lot worse toilets in previous years. Maybe I was just lucky tho

i saw one girl squatting in the gents urinals. Her friends where covering her with a coat, like she had any dignity left to protect.

Got to say in defence of the lads that there weren't enough urinal areas around the stages - main and NME in particular, and they weren't made for enough people resulting in people pissing against the fences inside.

There used to urinals to the left of the main stage in particular that were gone this year.

One thing that us gents see every year is "ladies" popping in to shite in the urinal blocks. In saying that they were crouching down round any semi-visible area in the arena. Not very classy.

well whilst watching stereophonics just off the black mats some chick came up off the mats to the grass and just took a leak in the middle of the crowd . The guy standing next to her looked so shocked it was funny.

this got even funnier when a drunk ned then came over and sat down in it when the shocked guy said "here mate i wouldnt sit there a chick just took a leak", the reply "who gives a fcuk"

Those in the arena were totally fine I think. Ones in the campsite werent brilliant but Ive seen alot worse in previous years. One thing that really pissed me off, to the point I had a go at someone about it, is that some of the toilet attendants were utterly hopeless. Over at the futures stage we were in the queue for 10 minutes and going no where, so I walk right up to the front and at least 10 toilets had no one in them! Said to the girl, who was standing on her phone and talking to one of the other attendents was she actually working there, and she told me it wasnt her job to watch the toilets, she was there to manage the queue! WTF does that mean? So I told her she wasnt doing a very good job of it - after which she started checking them and directing people.

Such a small thing to get annoyed by but we pay alot of money to go and waiting in a queue for 15+ minutes when theres no need is ridicularse!

sorry, i dont think there is any defence. if you need to go, then find a urinal. if there isnt one near you, thats too bad. walk to the nearest one. i drink loads and once i have to go pee for the 1st time, i have to go fairly regularly but never resorted to being a manky waste of oxygen all weekend.

I left REM mid set, last nite, walked straight into an OK toilet that still had bog roll in it on the left of the stage and back to meet my friends in front of the band ..... why oh why were there men and women peeing everywhere just before the toilets??? There wasn't even a queue!!! Mingers!

A few years back Glasto made a big thing of this and it ended up being such a not good thing to do people now shout at the mingers that think it's ok to pee everywhere .... think T organisers need to do something similar!

How about "Pisser patrols" going round with super soakers filled from the big nasty tanks at the back of the urinals soaking any errant pee-ers

I've been going to T since 1995 and this year was definitely the worst. People don't even do it discretely in remote corners anymore. It was eductional in one sense - sitting outside the Slam tent on Saturday, one girl came up to the fence a few feet away, unzipped herself and showed everybody how the P Mate works!

There has to be more toilets/urinals on site - looking at the big picture in the Record today, you can see how pathetically few there are. Mind you, even with hundreds more it wont stop some continuing their disgusting ways, but it should help.

Yeah you can't grow crops on acidic soil. Or well, you can. But they don't grow very well and are usually crap quality.

I'm not saying that it's good to piss everywhere, it is generally minging and unhygienic. But I woke up twice in the early hours dieing for a piss and the Yellow/Blue hedge was my only option apart from pissing myself.

But yeah more toilets and toilet sites are needed in my opinion.

Worst thing I saw was during the Fratellis, right at the front some guy just randomly started taking a piss on the black mats and then just walked off. THen some random drunk guy started literally rolling around in it on the ground.....

Some people were taking it a bit too far but aye...I pissed against a barrier a few times over the weekend. Its no like I was pissing on anybodys tent or where somebody was gonna sit. I agree though the toilets werent too bad this year and a better alterntive to pishing in th middle of a field with thousands of eyes on ye.

One of the worst fests I've seen for people peeing all over the place. Tho having said that, some seemed so drunk it was probably just alcohol they were pissing out...

waiting on REM, this bird unzipped her shorts n done a pee right in the middle of the crowd on the mats, she stood up then her pal done the same! Theres no excuse, fair enough she was in the crowd but she should of went to the toilet before if she didnt want to leave to go to the toilet! Its just skanky!

We spoke to a couple of stewards on Sunday morning who said that they caught a guy and a burd shagging in one of the portaloos on the campsite. With him sitting down on the bog and her bouncing away!! Aparently she was married and he had a fiance. They think that the partners were also at the festival too!

I peed against trees, fences, in bottles and I'm ready for my berating. It's camping the usual rules don't apply. When I arrived at the campsite I went into a toilet with a used tampon, shit on the walls and piss on the seats. Can you blame me for going back to nature?

i found it hard to look round the site literally becuase of someone having a pee in public. call me old fashioned but i'm someone tht needs their privacy when it comes to tht sort of thing. but others just did it willy nilly.

I can easily see why people do it, when everyone else is. You think its not going to make any difference if you do as so many others already are. But the general mindset that its ok needs changed.

There was people pissing on the side of my first aid post. I got annoyed and started throwing water over ppl after they were warned repeatedly.

Also, note to squatters. From Inside, we can see your outline, and what you're doing, hense why you got forceably moved on from outside our areas too.

I mean, its first aid. Its meant to be the one hygenic place in the arena, so, can you do it elsewhere next year please.

Some c**t was away to piss up against my tent until i seen the shadow and punched the tent wall prick could have gone somewhere designated there isnt a lack of toilets and men have no excuse they dont need to squat or sit on the seat!!!

Another thing was the amount of people peeing in the middle of random areas not even against surfaces at least when its on a surface you dont see anything buta few times ive turned around to see it hanging out !!!! COME ON its rediculous !
