DMs all the way =)
If its wet I find it best to have a pair of boots that keep the water out, and also some canvas trainers that will get soaked but dry out quickly.

Unless you look & dress like an actual farmer or country gent, there is no way to look good in wellies.

must admit agree very few can get away with wellies as look shit but they are practical if mudfest, I have had to buy some new wellies as last years ripped my feet to shreds got nice sponge liner so hopefully won't destroy feet so much as generally don't think wellies are really made for 3 days constant wear..
Might be sunny so can wear trainers, hopefully

You dont need wellies at Leeds. I've been in trainers every year and never had a problem. The soil is fine if it rains because its not like Glasto clay mud that doesn't soak up water very well. In seven years I think I can remember it raining on about 4 nights at Leeds.

I always take wellies, but each year have left them in the car as it was lovely when i arrived. There's no harm in bringing them in case and leaving them in the boot if they're not needed, if you go in the car of course.

we got there on the wednesday in 06 and it was f**kin hammering it down when we were putting our tent up. So we went and got some wellies from some stall and then didnt need them again til the monday morning after the sunday night downpour left the exits very muddy.

That's a good point actually, we've never had a properly wet festival at the new site. The two heaviest bits of rain I can think of are the wednesday mentioned above (not that many people, and not moving about all that much) and the Muse Sunday night in 06 (not that much moving about, and at the end anyway).
If it rains from say the thursday or friday it might be worse, but hopefully not

oh tell me about I worn mine for 2 days at V last year (was necessary unfortunately) and I had moon blisters on back of heels - I swear to god my feet were screaming at me when I squeezed back into them the sunday morning!! had to pop the b***ds. To top it off both big toenails were severely bruised and new nails started to grow, toenails have only JUST got back to normal...
Launched last years wellies got padded new ones, hope to god they will be better

you wont need wellies at leeds! plus the weather forecast (unreliable but it was spot on 6 weeks in advance of glastonbury) says that it is unlikely to rain!

There was a slight need for wellies last when the showers decided to leak all over the main walk way to arena and turned it in to a mini mud pond.
