I noticed that you can now pre-order your tennents for T in advance, sounds like a good idea but, reasonably priced too. One question, are these cans available/allowed in the Arena or will we still be charged £3.00 a pint inside?

aye but other ones are shite. morrisons killed safeway and tesco booze section is inferior.
MarkKTID
I'm def for it. 4 people, £24 each. Six chilled cans a day. Not too bad.

This way I can probably get away with taking 6 beers and a bottle of vodka in my camping bag. There's nothing worse than the walk to the campsite entrance carrying 48 cans!

No doubt the prices in the arena will be going up again so I reckon I'll be trying to get loaded on the campsite. biggrin.gif
MYSTERY LADY
Sounds gd to me cold beer on sunday the reality however is its the first year you can pre-order so im thinkin it might not all go according to plan 1st time round probably involves more queing so id be out.

Tesco - 3 crates of 18 cans - £20!!

TL is cheaper than water!! Much cheaper.

But can see there is a happy medium to be found as carrying a lot of beer is a pain in the arse! Although think I will be taking my car for that reason!!

Im playing devils advocate here the pro's are kinda outweighing the cons of this.

1) The cans are chilled!
2) These are 500ml cans! You can no longer buy in supermarkets, unless in solo can form, (multipacks by law now have to be 440 ml and even worse now they are decreasing sizes of packs 18-15, 24-20) and even then retail approx 98p a can!
3) Buy just for the first night then go into kinross each day to buy freshly chilled fae the various supermarkets free busses/taxis to these places.
4) No extra weight to carry.

So yeah thats what im doing! wink.gif
iain_kerr
see getting this lager tho.. out fo all the people that are camping how many are going to buy into thsi deal?? a few thousdand i think..

f**k having to wait in another que..

take bottles and just sit them on the ground in your tent, that should keep them cold. we done that with all our cans at rockness and it worked. dunno how it'd work with glass though.

I suppose, anything cheaper will be rank/hangover stuff, not worth it for a £2 - £3 saving really

was scorching at rockness but it still worked for some reason. nicky had cans of gin and tonic and they were freezing. like fridge cold.

i'm no taking much booze either. it was a total waste at rockness. i'll be taking enough money to get scooped up in the arena all day then all i'll need in the campsite is a top up.

Just got back from tesco's with my 2 crates of carlsberg and a crate of 'bow along with some vodkat. all I gotta do now is work out how I'm gunna get all this on the bus up to Scotland with the weight limitations. I'll not be paying anything more than 50p a can!

that stuff is pointless. tastes like pain stripper and it's got a pure low alcohol volume.
Iamthewalrus9
Carlsberg is also pointless. It's just for people who can't handle alcohol, but like to pretend they can drink more than other people. Therefore they drink lots of low-alcohol lager and surround themselves with empty cans so they look mental.

Justify yourself. The people I described are exactly the kind of people who drink Carlsberg or, if they can't afford that, Skol.

Less of strong lager is a far more efficient way of getting drunk, outwith the spirit domain.

a couple of my friends drink carlsberg, just for the fact that they can drink more and for longer than if they drank stronger lager. nothing to do with the fact that they cant handle alcohol, i doubt a % or 2 makes much of a difference between being drunk and being completely mangled anyway

It's just a can of beer, don't read into it so much maybe people just like it or it's the first beer they pick up from the shop. To be honest i didnt even know it was any less than any other lager. Just relise you were being a bit of a loser and wipe the spit from your eye. As previously stated ... Peace

I'm the loser, yet you're the one who's adamant that you just spat in my eye via the virtual domain of the internet? Things you do here have little effect on the real world you know, like how all those points you have in World of Warcraft don't gain you as much respect in real life as you think they do.

People who don't know that Carlsberg is a giant con should be burned alive. M'on the Staropramen.
