How anyone can apllaud an artists who's lyrics include "You say I must eat so many lemons, cos I am so bittah" (absolute genius there) and then go and better that by rhyming bittah, with fittah.

so a band who's 3 hit singles (the hoosiers) have blatantly ripped off 3 songs, gets respect from you. i just cant listen to them anymore after hearing the originals. its embarrasing.
the enemy arent quite as bad. saw them at T last year and quite enjoyed them. just a shame theyre all ugly

I hate The Hoosiers. I liked their first song briefly, until every radio and TV show played it constantly. This new "cops and robbers" malarky is a joke.

And the Ting Tings are another one of the bands who are popular by default, rather than skill. 5 years ago or in 5 years time they probably wouldnt even of got signed.

Their new single "Thats not my name" sounds like its by that girl who did the "Oh Mickey you're so pretty", and is guarenteed to appear on "Worst bits of the naughties" on CH4 around the year 2020. It might even make number 1, depending on how long the Spice Girls reunion lasts.

Ting Tings popularity has nothing to do with it. Iv loved some of the biggest, and some of the most hated, bands of my life.

The fact The Ting Tings are posh has nothing to do with it, I mean I love The ENemy for their honesty and catchinesss without resorting to cheese, whereas I also like Franz Ferdinand who are well kept boys themselves.

The Ting Tings are just garbage and only really popular because they have the correct look, and have the retro 80s "cant really sing" sound.

in your opinion, my opinion differs, i hadn't seen there video till the other day so had no idea if they had the correct look or not i just knew i like their songs. the enemy are just quality, i dont care wether kate nash makes it or not, would rather lily allen turned up its all a matter of taste good or bad

Maybe some people just actually like their songs? I think it would be difficult to have the amount of recent success that the ting tings have had based primarily on the fact they have the 'correct look'. Im not a massive fan but their songs are catchy so i can understand why they are popular.

Im going to see them on saturday night at the qmu, i dont have a clue why i bought tickets, it was the morning after my last day of uni and i thought it would be a great idea to go, so i bought tickets. mustve been drunk still. ill go, but im not too bothered, great DJ is a decent enough song.
