Gorillaz Sound System have just been announced for Secret Garden Party - I know it's not quite the same as a full blown headline performance, but surely this makes an appearance of some sort more likely this year?

Gorillaz headlining would be such a waste.

Bands should occupy the headline slots at festivals! No dance or rap/hip hop acts

Gorillaz are a band. a very skilled one at that, and a really clever idea. Great live show. They would be a really great headliner and a really nice change for once.

Also I still think they are possible headliners... this Sound System stuff.... does this mean it isnt actually Gorillaz? or what? If it isnt they are still likely to headline, if not then play. I'd really love to see them there.

It's just a DJ set I think with Murdoc doing it.

They could still play, this announcement won't effect it and the exclusivity that they seem to crave so badly.

Its their remix set - unfortunately it doesn't help that NME are billing it just as Gorillaz
