The Yellow's on the Broom International Music & Arts Festival takes place in Inverbervie over the May Day Holiday weekend on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th of May.

The festival of music, art and craft-forms has been held annually since 2000 on the May Day Holiday weekend in a barn on a working farm near Inverbervie and plays host to International and Scottish performers with the emphasis on quality and unusual acts that represent an international culture.

This year there are international artistes from Stavanger, Norway, and Berlin and Heidelberg, Germany offering the finest in Texas Country/Rockabilly, Celtic Overtoned Opera and Blues.

The line-up for this year has been confirmed. Playing on Saturday are headliners Helldorado from Norway, with support from Moon Suk O3 Orchestra, The Trybe, Mossy River Rock Band, Timo Gross, Deviltrain, and Taiko Drummers who open the performances at 7.30pm. Sunday has Glasgow band Man At The Window headlining with Stevey Hay & The Rayvons, Moon Suk O3 Orchestra, The Residents, Gerry Jablonski, Mossy River Rock Band, Katie & The Dull Fudds, and Sodeya who start their performance at 7.30pm.

The style of the festival is deliberately aimed to appeal to all ages from 8 to 80 years with, children's features early in the evening and peripheral fringe performances in primary schools. Refreshments will be available in the spacious bar in one of the barn's stone-arched alcoves to the main floor area. High standard, professional outdoor catering has been organised to serve everything from haggis, neeps, tatties and stovies to German Bratwurst and French pancakes, with soups, coffee and tea and a non-alcoholic cocktail bar also available.

Music, Dance, Craft and Conjuring tuition workshops are on offer for adults and children during the Saturday and Sunday afternoons at the nearby Mill of Benholm. As well as the workshops, their will be 'Fringe Events'.

Tickets are on sale in Inverbervie, Gourdon, Stonehaven, Johnshaven, Catterline, St. Cyrus, Montrose and Aberdeen at £15 for one evening or £28 for two evenings; accompanied children up to 11 years at half price. The organisers recommend buying or reserving tickets in advance to avoid disappointment.
