Wychwood Festival aims to build on the success of the first four years, and returns on Friday 29th May to Sunday 31st May in 2009.
The very family-friendly Wychwood aims to be intimate and inclusive for audience and musician alike, blending world, roots and contemporary music, and encouraging new collaborations, with an ethical bent to its theme, fundraising for Oxfam. There's also comedy, workshops, and more.
No artists are confirmed for 2009 but expect a popular mix of acts from all genres and a few surprises, all of which will be quality festival entertainment.
Tickets are not yet sale, there will be early bird offers. The full price will be £107 for an adult weekend ticket and £80 for a concession weekend ticket (there is also a new 2 for 1 Disabled ticket rate). Campervans are expected to be around an extra £25. Children aged 11 and under and camping remain free, but need a ticket. We'll let you know the ticket offers once they are available.
The festival will probably continue the same camping set up as 2007, whereby you will be able to drive up to your camping pitch, and unload your camping gear right by where you are setting up. The campsite is flat, and always in great condition. Then emptied cars must be driven off the campsite and to the car park. After the festival, you'll be able to drive back to your pitch to load up. Expect also the return in 2009 of the popular silent disco.
