Following a fantastic second Wychwood Festival, it will be back on the weekend of 1st - 3rd June 2007.

Wychwood aims to be intimate and inclusive for audience and musician alike, blending world, roots and contemporary music, and encouraging new collaborations, with an ethical bent to its theme, fundraising for Oxfam.

Confirmed acts include the Levellers headlining on the Friday, and Fun Lovin' Criminals headlining on the Saturday, with Afro Celt Sound System the Sunday headliner. Also playing are Badly Drawn Boy, Robyn Hitchcock and the Venus 3, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Transglobal Underground, Country Joe McDonald, Anoushka Shankar, Martha Tilston and many more - see here for the full & final line-up details.

Last year Club Wychwood had the Silent Disco after hours. This year they'll be a range of DJs playing in the Big Top over the weekend, and you'll be able to hear the music without headphones at an ambient level. At the same time the music will be broadcasted on an FM radio channel that you can tune into via portable radios for those who want to hear the tunes at a club volume. Personal radios will be available to buy on site at a very reasonable price or you can bring your own radios with headphones to tune in! DJs over the weekend are Mixmaster Morris and DJ Derek on Friday, the Global Asian beats of DJs Nerm, Swami and Pathaan on Saturday, and Nick Luscome and Phil Meadley with DJ Umb on Sunday with their Shisha Sound System, all till 3am!

New Internationalist will be programming a couple of sessions at Wychwood. On Saturday New Internationalist’s Editor will be teaming up with Faithless guitarist Dave Randal to explore some of the issues covered in the Ni’s recent Palestine Special Feature. Later Dave will be performing an acoustic set as part of a music showcase along with Chris TT and Jacob Stories. Make sure you catch this special event, check the programme for details once at the festival.

The 2007 festival will also feature comedy from Silky, Mundo Jazz, Alfie Joey, and more, plus cinema from the Groovy Movie Picture House, alongside a range of different workshops for all ages. Sessions ranging from African drumming to life coaching, yoga to breakdancing, Mask Making to songwriting create an all round family experience.

Unlike just about every other festival, cars are allowed on the campsite for people to unload, but then they must drive off to the car park.
