WOMAD
updated : Thu 19th Oct 06

Woamd stands for World Of Music, Arts and Dance.

Started by Peter Gabriel and others to give world music a stage, WOMAD is now firmly established at sites around the world.

The main UK event was held at Rivermead in Reading from 1990 until 2006, but will move to a new home at Charlton Park, near Malmesbury in Wiltshire in 2007.
