The Wizard Festival is situated in the New Deer Show Ground near Peterhead and Fraserburgh, North East Scotland, and runs from the Friday 22nd until Saturday 23rd August.

Located on a 50 acre site, on New Deer's Showground, The Wizard Festival incorporates a campervan park and tent campsite, food courts, shopping areas, a fairground, first aid & security village, ample car parking and plenty of portaloos!

After last year's success Wizard is set to return bigger and better. The three stages Voodoo, Banshee and Acoustic Stages will welcome established headliners, emerging local bands and everything in-between. The headliners are confirmed as Supergrass, and the Damned on Friday and Alabama 3 on Saturday. Other acts include Peatbog Faeries, McCusker/Drever/Woomble, Proud Mary, Dreadzone, Parka, MacFloyd, The Haze, The Amigos, Flood Of Red, The Cinematics, and Chris Helme with many more to come in the next few months. Tickets are on sale priced at £65 for an adult weekend ticket (includes camping & parking from 1pm Fri 22nd to noon Sun 24th) or £40 for a Saturday adult day ticket (includes camping & parking Saturday only). To buy click here.

The festival is offering yurt camping this year and a new, bigger and very exciting children's area will be launched for 2008's festival with fairground rides, face painting, climbing walls, puppetry and lots of interesting activities planned for Wizard with adults and kids in mind.

The Happy Bus (click here) will be transporting festival goers to Wizard from the following places: Dundee, Dunfermline, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Perth and Stirling. Stagecoach will also be running a bus from the festival site main entrance to Aberdeen bus station on Sunday 24th August at 11am, bus tickets will be available priced at £5 from the box office.

Wizard festival also has Fringe events happening in the run up to the festival.
