Returning for a fourth year the Willowman Festival returns to their new home the Hillside Rural Activities Park, Knayton between Thirsk & Northallerton, in North Yorkshire. The family friendly event takes place over four days on the Summer Solstice weekend from Thursday 20th to Sunday 23rd June 2013.

Line-up

The latest additions are Biscuithead and the Biscuit Badgers, Hayley Gaftarnick, The Lindsay Tin, Nico Cara, Alex Dobson, Pip Mountjoy, Stefan Melbourne, Mimi O'Malley, Leigh Freda, The Broken Broadcast, and T G Elias, plus an open mic session on Friday and Saturday night.

Previously confirmed are Orb Sound System, The Wonder Stuff, Space, New Model Army, Sicknote, Radical Dance Faction (RDF), The Men They Couldn't Hang, Pikey Beatz, Syd Arthur, Sarah Gillespie, This Ground Moves, MoonRunners, Thatcher's Bush, Instrument of Jah Sound System, Nucleus Roots, Symphonic Pictures, Collectors Club, Flutatious, Rosie, Driven Serious, Annie Dressner, Little Fire, One Way Street, Your Illuminations, and Purple Mafia. Tickets

The early bird offer has ended. Tickets are priced at £70 for a full weekend including camping (live in vehicles are £15 per vehicle). Young Persons (aged 12 – 17 years old) weekend ticket is priced at £35. A live in vehicle pass is £15, or £20 for caravans. Children aged under 12 years go free, with car parking and camping also free. Family tickets are also available priced at £160.

Day tickets will be on sale at a later date, priced as follow. An adult Saturday and Sunday ticket is priced at £50, young persons half price. Friday and Saturday day tickets are priced at £30 for 12 years and above, with a Sunday only 12 yrs & over ticket available at a price of £15.

On site

Expect arts crafts and a complete Healing Area set in a tranquil position within the festival site. There will be Indian head massage, Shiatsu massage and Spiritual talks along with Card readings and Pagan Stone readings. Plus an under cover Vintage Market. A Chill Out Tent with entertainment and on the Open Mic Stage and the Willowman Arms Real Ale late bar.

Camping

Camping in a tent is free. Expect the return of three distinct camping areas. Campsite One is for families and those who do not wish to party all night (tents only) General camping is also for tents only and lastly there is a large area for caravaners and those with live in vehicles.

Volunteers

Like all festivals Willowman need keen volunteers to help run things smoothly. In exchange for working two 4 hour shifts over the weekend volunteers will receive free entry to the festival. General volunteers, car parking helpers, and campsite wardens are needed.

Family fun

Willowman Festival has fun for all the family, with a bouncy castle, face painting, junior arts and crafts, plus a funfair too, and all kids activities are free unless stated otherwise.

Fancy dress

Attendees of this summer’s Willowman Festival are being encouraged to don top hats, Victorian costumes, monocles and goggles to participate in the Steampunk fancy dress theme. Steampunk is best described as a style which mixes Victorian era clothing, machinery and art with modern technology. The festival will have various ‘Steamkamp’ areas, and a steam powered pizza locomotive, and anyone in a particularly cool costume” could win tickets to 2014.
