The 28th Wacken Open Air takes place in the small town of Wacken in Schleswig-Holstein, northern Germany.

The festival will take place over 3 days from Thursday 3rd to Saturday 5th August 2017.

Wacken is located 10 km north of Itzehoe and 50 km north/west of Hamburg.

Camping is available on several large camping grounds surrounding the festival arena.
