last updated: Thu 29th May 2008
This year Venn takes place from Thursday 5th until Sunday 8th June. Expect a round-the-clock programme of diverse gigs, sessions, workshops and broadcasts, taking place inside and out. The festival usually makes use of a wide range of small and medium sized venues, workspaces, empty shops, planetariums, ice rinks, skate parks, larger public spaces, and other unusual spots throughout the Stokes Croft district of Bristol. As Venn maintains its resolve to find fun new ways to twist the urban festival format.
The artists performing at Venn include Matmos, Why?, Rachel Unthank & The Winterset, Moritz von Oswald, Olo Worms, Sunburned Hand Of The Man, Murcof, Errorsmith, Fuck Buttons, Infinite Livez vs Stade, Skeletons and The Kings of All Cities, The Blessing, Snorkel, Afrikan Boy, Chik Budo, The Fungus Moth, John Wall, Wildbirds & Peacedrums, Le Volume Courbe, Peverelist, Munch Munch, MoHa, Hauschka, One More Grain, Tractor, and October.
Also announced is Phil Minton's 'Century FC' an ambitious, specially commissioned one-off project involving maverick vocal improviser Phil Minton and a 100-strong civilian choir. For the line-up details and stage splits as available please click here.
