V-Dub Island 2015

A family-friendly chilled event that's part music festival, and part meeting point for lovers of Volkswagens, of all types, but particularly the Beetle and Camper.

The fifth V-Dub Island takes place at Fairlee Farm on the Isle of Wight from Thursday 23rd until Sunday 27th July 2015. This year's fancy dress theme is 'Hillbilly Weddings'.

Line-up

Electro Love 80's (Jakey Chan and Extreme Vertigo), with Mark King have been announced as the final headliners on the Saturday.

Designed especially for lovers, owners and enthusiasts of all models and types of VW. This family show offers a chilled, laid-back weekend of all things VW offering a full line-up of entertainments and music, an auto jumble, and various trade stalls, including show and shine competition, best dressed pet, the onsite beach, and Wight Trash skate ramp.

On Saturday morning V-Dub Island takes its annual drive-out through the Isle of Wight countryside, which last year attracted over a hundred VW's and is expected to grow even larger this year. The drive-out will culminate at V-Dub Island's surf competition, which is held at Compton bay one of Britains best beaches.

V-dubisland’s Show and Shine is an opportunity for enthusiasts to platform their vehicles with people travelling island wide even as far as Europe to appreciate some of the best VW’s around along with an area provided for auto jumble to be displayed and sold.

This year brings a wide selection of traders from VW merchandise, Camping gear, stickers & decals, gifts Accessories, Clothing, Homewares, Artwork, therapists, confectionary, pet accessories and flags to name but a few. There will be something for everyone along with a variety of refreshments and food courts.

New activities this year include the The Bounce Department, a huge child’s area hosting large inflatables including bouncy castles, Jungle obstacle course, Bungee run, Human football table, Sumo suits and kangaroo boxing, also entertainments for the arena include petting animals, musical workshops, children’s entertainers, dance displays, magician’s, tug of war, Punch& Judy, martial arts displays and the return of the pie eating and chilli eating competitions.

For the younger event goers, there will be children’s story telling, children’s workshops, a play area, traditional funfair and not forgetting The Beach, plus children's entertainers.
