Some things go without being said. One of them is that Scissor Sisters’ fans will be different to The Pixies’ fans. Yet I felt the need to say it anyway before launching in to my review.

With almost as many members as Slipknot – and in recent times a much larger fan base – it is no surprise that the sound they generate is unique.

Hailing from New York City, this afternoon a field of people in the Midlands are about to have the D-I-S-C-O put back in to their lives. One gentleman in the crowd certainly needs it as he walks past me swaying in a way that I’ve never before witnessed. It’s safe to say that he’s not watching the same show as the rest of us – but he does seem to be having a time if his gurgling noises are anything to go by.

Scissor Sisters

Playing through their hits, the crowd thrive on the fact that Scissor Sisters love every minute of their performance. If there’s one thing that they can do – it’s to put on a good show. It’s just a shame that the swaying gentleman missed it.
