Upton Blues Festival

The Upton Blues Festival is an annual FREE celebration of Blues Music that takes place in the town of Upton Upon Severn in Worcestershire in July.

The organisers try to bring a mix of all styles of blues music, along with a range of well-known artists through to new and upcoming bands.

The festival also caters for music workshops, where the different styles, instruments and voices are open for discussion and demonstration.

The venues are mainly based in the pubs in the town, as well as open-air venues.

The festival is organised by a small committee of volunteers since 2001 when the original group of dedicated Rhythm and Blues fans clubbed together to stage the first festival in the town's pubs, the Upton Blues Festival has grown into the largest free festival of its type in the UK, which in turn draws in the major international acts for which the festival has become well known.
