The tenth Twinwood Festival incorporates the Glenn Miller Festival of Swing Jazz & Jive, featuring music from the 40s, 50s and beyond along with air displays, hangar dances, fashion shows, comedy shows, trade stalls, food and bars, museums, living history, classic vehicles, camping and more.

Twinwood Festival 2011 is confirmed for Saturday 27th until Monday 29th August 2011, and takes place at the RAF Twinwood Airfield and Twinwood Arena, near Bedford.

Friday

Friday night is for festival campers only. 7pm 'til late.

Saturday

Monday

Twinwood Arena Stage: Terry Elliott, C&BLE Dance Display, The New Squadronaires, Air Display, Lola Lamour, Kais Kats, Maddie Brown, Sticky Wicket & His Swing Band.
Control Tower Stage: The King Cats, The Revolutionaires, The Swing Commanders. Hosted by Strollin' Steve.

The emphasis is on non-stop, high quality music from many top orchestras and artistes performing the great hits from the big band, swing and Jive era, at The 'Hangar' (40's dancing), the 'Marquee' (Rock n Roll) and the 'Tin Hat' (Swing and Jazz)

New for 2011

Three new venues for night entertainment:

The 'Cafe Bois de Jumeau' will feature Fleur de Paris, Swing Museum and others performing Chanson et Musette from the 30s to the 50s including Hot Club, Gypsy Jazz, and Piaf etc.

'The Casablanca Club' based on the film, step back into Wartime Morocco when you enter this dimly lit new venue and expect some exotic entertainment.

The 'Open Mic Club' offering chance for festival goers to showcase their talent.

Tickets

Tickets have SOLD OUT, they were priced as follows:
Child prices valid for Children between 5 and 16 years. Under 5's Free.
ADULT: £52 Weekend, £23 Saturday, £25 Sunday, £21 Monday
CHILD: £12 Weekend, £7 any day
There's also combined Saturday & Sunday tickets, and combined Sunday & Monday tickets, and a Family ticket (2 adults and up to 3 children) available for the Monday at £42

Camping

Caravan and Motorhome pitches are also available. Organisers have decided to open up the camp site a day earlier. Campsite A is priced at £31, and Campsite B: £26. Campsite B is the new campsite, a new field next to site A, so it is closer than last years site B.

For those who are able to come earlier they will allow the pitching up of caravans and tents from mid-day on Thursday 25th August. Please note that they cannot guarantee that the showers and some toilets will be installed by Thursday, but the permanent toilet block will be open. Also the Camp Site Shop will not open until Saturday morning.
