Truck Festival put their second event in America, Truck America II, happening over the weekend of Friday 9th until Sunday 11th September 2011 at Full Moon Resort, Catskills Mountains, New York, in the USA.

Line-up

The Hold Steady, Okkervil River, Ra Ra Riot and Wye Oak are just a few of the festival's headliners with 30+ more bands and comedians to be announced in the upcoming weeks.

Tickets

Early bird tickets are priced at $99 (approximately £62), and a young person (aged 13-17 years) is priced at $79, children aged 12 and under are free but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

On site

The festival is not just about watching bands. There will also be workshops, films, kids activities and jam sessions, and a healthy dose of English style camping for those who don't book a room.

The event

Truck festival in Oxfordshire has run for 14 years inspired by America's Woodstock Festival and has the same basic principles of independence and ethically minded and cooperative production, with a passion for introducing cutting edge new music as well as a reverential nod back to the classics. This new event hopes to recapture the spirit of the hippie festival.

Location

Positioned 2 hours north of New York city and 3 hours from Toronto (and actually 30 miles closer to Woodstock than the original festival was) they are aiming to make it a 1000 capacity festival.
