I'll admit that before T in the Park, I'd heard one song from the Eagles of Death Metal (who aren't Death Metal at all kids, but a Josh Homme project) which was "I Only Want You".
Keeping that in mind, I went to see what the rest of their music is like, I can say that they played a fun, tight set of their American rock.
The band have a slight feeling of QOTSA-light on occasional moments, but that's no bad thing. Closer "Bad Beat Mama" is incredible, their lead singer has the swagger to pull off anything, and the person standing to the right of me lusting over their blonde drummer certainly sees something else in this band (judging them from the while I stood next to them, they probably have a restraining order by now).
Second last number "I Only Want You" sounds absolutely perfect in the bright sun, and they prove to be a surprise hit of the festival.
