The night before the festival six venues in Leicester City Centre offer early arrivals a Thursday night of music and comedy in the form of a Fringe Festival. The main camp site will be open and one wristband gives entry to them all, with open top buses to travel from party to party. The parties feature different live bands and will open for business from 7pm. Wristbands cost £3 from the DMH box office or The Firebug. Any profits from the night are to be donated direct to LOROS.

There will be a complete recycling programme in operations as well as Biodegradables – Almost everything used within the Summer Sundae site will be biodegradable at this year event from compostable pint glasses, plates and cutlery to the cooking oils used by food vendors. Pouches are to be given to festival goers to deposit their Cigarette ends in.

Summer Sundae also monitors all its stalls, suppliers and vendors closely to guarantee food, services and goods are ethically produced.
