Formerly known as Woodworks, and now in it's 11th year, this festival aims to encourage the participation and enjoyment of folk arts, drawing on assistance from the local community. Along with a UK-wide network of musicians, dancers, tutors and enthusiasts, opportunities are provided for people of all ages to come together to learn, listen, network, and enjoy live music.

This year the organisers promise more stages with a new Rock Stage, and a whole new fresh look and with the classic Green Stage, Arts Marquee and Acoustic Marquee making a return.

Expect over 60 acts in 2009 interspersed with local bands, theatre companies, other performance art groups will be appearing in an Arts Marquee, and a couple of acoustic showcase sessions.

A variety of workshops are usually on offer. There's also street performance, a festival market, hot and cold food, stand-up comedy, live sessions popping up everywhere, a chill-out tent, artistic displays (including sculptures), craft and music stalls, plus children's activities at different venues around the town.

Family Ticket For The Weekend (2 Adults and 2 children aged over 10) £52.
Adult Weekend Ticket (Under 10's FREE with Adult) £17.80.
Child Weekend Ticket (11 to 17 with Adult) £12.70.
Adult Day Ticket (Under 10's FREE with Adult) £12.70.
Child Day Ticket (11 to 17 with Adult) £7.50.
