Formerly known as Woodworks, and now in it's 9th year, this festival aims to encourage the participation and enjoyment of folk arts, drawing on assistance from the local community. Along with a UK-wide network of musicians, dancers, tutors and enthusiasts, opportunities are provided for people of all ages to come together to learn, listen, network, and enjoy live music.

There are two stages - an Acoustic Marquee and a Green Stage. Many of this year's artists have now been announced, including Darwyn (headlining on Saturday night), Mawkin (headlining on Sunday), plus After The Rush, and the Doghouse Festival Band amongst many others, interspersed with local bands, egyptian dance, a drum circle and a couple of acoustic showcase sessions. A variety of workshops are on offer, including guitar, percussion, dijeridoo and DJ skills. There's also street performance, a festival market, hot and cold food, a beer tent, and craft and music stalls, plus children's activities at different venues around the town.

Tickets
Children under 10 years are admitted free. Adult weekend tickets and day tickets are both listed as being the same price (£10 - so you apparently save £10 buying a weekend ticket!). Tickets include admission to workshops, and all other events including the evening concerts.
