On a lovely rural site near the picturesque Nottinghamshire market town of Southwell with two main marquee stages and many events taking place in and around the beautiful Minster town of Southwell.
The 12th The Gate to Southwell Festival takes place from Thursday 7th to Sunday 10th June 2017.
Showcasing international performers of the folk scene, and local performers, with folk dances playing a big part over the weekend, there's plenty of opportunity to get involved in the workshops, ceilidhs, open mic stages and children's events.
No acts have been announced yet.
Tickets are not yet on sale. Last year an adult weekend ticket was priced at £90 plus camping or weekend extra (to inc Thurs) £105.

Roots and Acoustic Music across three stages, plus concerts, ceilidhs, dance displays, children’s events, workshops. Real ale & cider festival, food and craft stalls on the festival site.Events around town including sessions in local pubs. Free parking for day visitors. Various dance teams will be appearing in the town and around the festival site.
As well as music there will be children's entertainment in the second marquee. The triple turreted children's tent will house various workshops and activities.
The festival usually also includes a beer and cider festival, with about 40 beers, mostly from micro breweries, and will include several specially commissioned brews and also offer a wide variety of catering options.
Camping is on adjacent fields. There is camping available.
